QUOTE(sunblaze @ Sep 22 2014, 12:51 PM) Yea, at any point where we were leading by 2 goals (2-0, 3-1, heck even at 3-2), we should have battened down the hatches and tried to slow the game down, control play, and keep possession. Probe and look for an opening to get more goals instead of gung-ho attack. Overly aggressive play/positioning also cost us the game, gave them room to counter at speed and punish us hard. yea, probably the mids wanting to get their names on the score sheet seeing falcao's half volley hitting the post n herrera scored a cheeky goal lol extremely disappointed with the back 4 though. they seemed hesitant to tackle when they have the chance to do so

should have subbed out persie instead of falcao, because falcao has higher work rate (to chase the defenders) n a better ball dribbler (keeping the ball better). disappointing to say that the subs were ineffective. fletcher n valencia kept lobbing the ball out or giving to the opponents' defenders whenever they have the ball. they could have just keep the ball and make simple passes, slow down the tempo of the game.
