MotM Di Maria a bit higher than Herrera Blind Rafael.
Wth, we've got a new Scholes who can tackle, couldn't ask more..

who is new scholes?

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Sep 15 2014, 01:02 AM)
Rooney's first touch is awful, as always. Mata is a natural CAM and his vision and first touch are better than Rooney's.
In case you didn't noticed, Mata's pass success rate in the game was 98%, 8 goals in 10 games.
Sell Mata? I would beg to differ.
*
dun think sell mata
rest mata and rooney as cam cover coz his engine bigger

roon, rvp, falcao up top is fearsome!

Ok la, jokes aside.

I hope Shaw is fit for next week, wanna see him getting up and rollin, England's future! Hopefully Blackett retains his starting place too, alongside Rojo in CB rather than Evans. Blackett deserves some credit for his solid performance hehe

Chill, the club didn't pay 30M for Shaw to be an expensive bench warmer. I feel that Shaw is not 100% match fit yet that is why he didnt start against QPR.
If LVG sticks to the usual 442, assuming that Shaw will take the LB spot while Rojo and Jones will play centre while Rafael at RB. 352, Shaw should be playing as LWB, leaving Rojo-Jones-Rafael/Evans at the heart of defence while Di Maria will probably play as RWB in that formation.
*
Jones?

Please lah LVG going to put his godson Blackett there in the middle with Roho

Seriously ppl rating blackett ahead of Evans?
He has potential but Evans was our main cb in that match. He didn't made a mistake while blackett let the ball bounced and the striker thru
*
i rate blackett has a better consistency and health than all our CB's, that's it.
i think in terms of skill, experience and attributes he still needs to go a few miles.
but the main thing is he is keeping himself fit and starting in games where smalling/evans/jones should be automatic starters if fit.
so i dunno if he is really that good or he is enjoying a good spell with others being injured.
many players have enjoyed such a spell and displaced the club mainstays, in fact a few season's ago when vidic was out for months and evan's stepped up i thought evans was finally living up to his potential but he crocked just as vidic was fit again doh.gif

QUOTE(sunblaze @ Sep 16 2014, 09:52 AM)
Fans being harsh! Actually all our CBs got room to improve in terms of their form and performances, so no need to be overly brutal in flaming them tongue.gif

Blackett is promising, no doubt. Hope he can continue to improve and cut out that kinda error from his game (and also improve his passing game a bit). Probably just needs time under LVG.

Evans is 26, he needs to work on cutting out his errors / lapses. Don't know if it's an attention thing or something else but that is what is hurting him. Smalling kinda has the same issue, he can deliver solid performances but is prone to lapses at times. They both can deliver good performances (good ceiling) but they need to raise their minimum level (floor) to a better consistent level.

Jones on the other hand needs to adapt his play-style so he doesn't need to be so gung-ho all the time and get injured quite so much... else he will lose out in the long run in terms of fulfilling his potential due to his time out with injuries.

Rojo is very aggressive according to Herrera.. which is good. We need some aggression in our defense, can't be reactive and passive. Smalling and Evans have both conceded goals due to this at times. You know, the kind where when you see the replay they have their eyes on the player/ball but are a step or two too slow or not proactive enough in trying to deal with it? That kinda thing. Could be an issue with improving their reading of the game, could be them being too slow to react, idk.
*
at the moment we're still reeling from the lost of Rio and Vidic
Rio composed, calculated and smooth
Vidic powerful, energy and tactical
however, i think they wouldn't be able to cope with the filosofi and the only good games they had last season was when giggs played with saf style.

at the moment after 4 games the defenders we have that can play as CB's i would say aren't mediocre but aren't world class but considering the options our top rivals have we're not that far away

and another thing a long time back john terry was a good youth but never could break it into the team until JM came along and made him what he is, so we need to give our guys time to sink in with LVG's filosofi.

if he does come back, he wont be wearing no7 thats for sure  unsure.gif
*
highly doubt a return for CR7
ADM is finally getting a chance to really shine away from CR7 and Bale
it would be terrible for him career wise if CR7 comes eventhough they're friends
that is if we expect CR7 to come join our midfield
one probable scenario of him returning would be as the replacement of RVP a few years down the road

For the second time in two matches Danny Welbeck illustrated why his finishing is considered below par for a top forward by failing to convert a one-on-one with a goalkeeper.

With the match goalless and Arsenal under relentless attack, Welbeck managed to drag Aaron Ramsey's clever pass wide with just Roman Weidenfeller to beat.

It was a key moment and the 16 million-pound signing from Manchester United, who had other chances to open his Gunners account, only enhanced concerns over his record in front of goal.

At times they were comically poor with Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker fully culpable, although they were offered little protection by Mikel Arteta, who was also exposed by the quick wits of Dortmund.

And in front of Arteta, Mesut Ozil once again drifted around aimlessly, contributing nothing until his second-half withdrawal.

Aubameyang and Immobile combined well before a slip by Arteta, who had recovered from his ankle injury to anchor the midfield, left the Gunners exposed.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain prevented a near-certain goal with a superb tackle and to complete the Gunners' misery Jack Wilshere limped off.

Arsenal carved out two clear opportunities for Danny Welbeck and the £16m man’s finishing was so inept that one effort was off target and the other did not even register with Uefa statisticians as an attempt on goal. Manchester United’s manager, Louis van Gaal, was damning in his analysis of the 23-year-old’s goal record and on nights like this when chances are all too rare – he missed a third after the interval

Funniest part is at least one of them is so "smart" to think we are "celebrating" their loss as if it's big news..when actually it feels like every season they have the same game vs BVB.
The only reason we are even talking about their game is because they came here to troll us and show off pre-game  biggrin.gif
You give a lot of credit to say majority are decent, there might be a few level heads but based on all the stuff they've been saying since pre-season about LVG and the club.... *smh sadly*
