Coz ram same but redmi 2s cpu higher will be lag

Huh?

redmi 1s and 2s cpu is different but i think u cant feel the different

I can feel the diff.
The 2s laggy. Even tho 2s have better cpu

Still okay for me what.. just multitask a bit hiccup due to low RAM that require to relaunch apps instead load from RAM memory.

It seems to be optimisation issue with the new Cortex-A53 used in newer Snapdragon SoC line ups.

But I tried Redmi 2 before, it seems fine to me.
MIUI 6 is really heavy and its RAM management is one of the worst. Even my Mi3 (with such power-packed krait 400 cpus) couldn't fly through the UI at times.

Redmi 2 enhanced version is coming to Malaysia with 16GB internal and 2GB of RAM. You might wanna buy this to improved fluidity.

so... anyone update to v6.6.2.0 yet? is it ok?

I just upgraded to the latest miui 6, aiseh regret upgrading to miui 6... got some problem now such as slow when browsing and typing... chrome blinking and stuck/hang when browsing and also when closing... also battery drained very2 fast...
to anyone that still use miui 5, I suggest don't upgrade yet..

After the miui 6 upgrade, the torchlight icon on the home screen is no longer there. Anyone facing same problem?

Guys, why use MIUI if you can use the lag free CyanogenMod 11 or even 12.1!
Right now using CM 12.1 and my phone is flying..

just upgraded to MIUI v6.6.2..
i would say..woww finally on KitKat lol
so far looks OK..it clears more ram when i click the free up ram button
also my browsing experience improved..last time on v5 suddenly forced close..or worse suddenly keyboard forced close..lol that was really annoying.

only one thing..how to change icon pack without changing whole theme?
i couldn't find the "component" option in the theme app

and also the slide down shortcuts can't be rearrange like in v5

the small usb pin part inside my redmi 2s broken..anybody know where/who can repair?

Just now upgraded my MIUI v.56 to MIUI V6.7.1 that comes with Kit Kat. The phone now becomes even more better than when i first got it. Some changes i like, some not. Here are some breakdown of the Pros and Cons.

Pros
- Battery usage improved a little
- Charging time is faster
- Phone heat is still there, but the lag problem is almost gone. Also the heat dissipation changed. From focused above the camera to spread out to the middle of the phone. (They can do that?!?!)
- Update seems to free up about 20-50mb for me.
- Everything seems faster/ smoother
- Mi Fit now allows the Mi band to unlock the phone
- Can play my fave games with almost no long duration lag that i need to pause for it to cool down before continuing.
- Themes is working again.
- Other apps seems faster to launch
- Compass works again
- Camera gained new feature, but lost some feature

Cons
- Needs getting used to new thinner fonts
- Unlocking phone method changed. Needs getting used to also.
- Notes changed from pages to inline
