Hello guys,

I shoot a video using my phone Huawei Honor 3C with Sony IMX143 image sensor, when the camera standstill, image is fine. When panning, the effect of "scanning-bottom up" present:

1. Pan-to-left, 2. Standstill, 3. Pan-to-right

Nokia Lumia 520 has no tearing/scanning effect presented, the image is very stable when panning.
I notice Nikon D3100 got this problem also, just slightly visible.

This effect make me hard to do motion tracking, perspective is always inaccurate.

May I know what is this problem/term called?

Jello/rolling shutter effect- due to cmos censor.
p/s: I don't see the video yet as i am on my phone.

This happen to any camera that uses rolling shutter on CMOS sensor. Pan slower to minimize this effects.

Global shutter on CMOS does not have this issues though but is missing in most camera.
