usually the noise coming from these type of fans (performance fans) are not cause by the motor, rather by the whooshing caused by the large volume of air that its moving.

its not as loud as the 775 fan on full rpm
 You can definately use it on a PC, but id recommend buying fans that are meant for PC using molex connector to save your power socket  |
