hi, everyone i am newbie here.
Do any of you buy EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS SMALL-CAP FUND , i had just bought 2 months ago, loss RM140 with the investment of RM 1000, this fund risk is very high-- rate 9 , it also indicates higher return too . However, i will just see for the long term one to wait for return profit.
Any comment for buying this SMALL cap fund. ?

QUOTE(yklooi @ Dec 20 2014, 10:35 PM) why do you want to buy this? is this the only fund that you have? for comments on buying SC funds...you already mentioned ...(in RED) If you have the stomach for it, then it I think it is always good to have some % in the portfolio... yes, I do hv some % of SC in my portfolio btw,..if you had got it for the whole of last year (Jan ~ Dec 2013).....huat-lah...about 60~70% plus Yes, this is this only fund i have . Don't have so much money to buy other fund yet, but will try to have some % of other fund in the portfolio later. Hopefully, this fund can have good return in next year.

QUOTE(xuzen @ Dec 20 2014, 11:22 PM) What comment you want? you have already answered most of the question yourself..... BTW, I have been VCA into this fund since qtr-four of 2011 Xuzen Should i just believe what the agent suggest ? I bought this fund which is none of the suggestions he gave me, which i analyse this fund myself just based on the past history. I don't know actually how long to wait to get back the profit in reality , how's your earning for these 3 years?

QUOTE(yklooi @ Dec 23 2014, 11:04 PM) In Malaysia, the history of CEFs is very scanty. To date, there is only one CEF listed on Bursa Malaysia namely, Amanah SmallCap Fund Berhad (ASFB). ASFB was launched in April 1997, after a prolonged bull on the KLSE and just before the Great Asian Crisis hit in Jul 1997. Shortly after, this one and only local CEF experienced a sharp fall in its share price and NAV. In Aug 1998, its share price plunged to its all-time low of RM0.25. This caused great disappointment and like many other listed companies, left a bitter taste among Malaysian investors. http://icapital.my/en/part1_what_cef_utfBut iCapital is also the CEF listed on Bursa Malaysia, i had attended their talks , very attractive which motivate many people to buy. But before buying this, i really need listen to more people's views.
