Too much pain not enough profit!
Fark Hellfire ammy!
Keywarden spam in random locations.
Keywarden randomly drop keys
Uber randomly drop parts.

THEN ON TOP OF ALL THAT, you get random affix on the amulet. The zero guarantee that the amulet will be better than a rare.
RNG! RNG! RNG! RNG!

How to appease the Goddess of RNG to love you!?!?!

Still can roll higher for the wiz neck... So far, farmed around 10 necks, these 2 are the ones that can be used.

Very nice stuff. I think some classes can ignore leg gems. For me I'd have 3 gems. So a soc in HF ammy is mandatory. I think is good to have better understanding on how much damage buff from leg gems vs chc chd or elemental damage %. Whether they are additive or multiplicative. Then make a decision to soc or not to soc. As I've read through players feedbacks and testing combine with actual math, after a certain amount of elemtal dmg %, the increase in damage starts to become insignificant as the actul increase in damage is by 2% even with extra 20% cold/holy/fire and so on. I'll find that post so that you can make the decision to decide if it worth keeping elemental damageand not roll a soc for leg gem or even chc or chd.

This is a good explanation about elemental damage

So, assuming you have 40% 20% elemental damage from bracer and SOJ, another 20% elemental damage in amulet actually just increase your damage by 16.6%:

140/120=1.166 ~ 16.6%

If a socket give you 20% more damage, the socket win.

At 38%cc and 330% cdmg, 10% cc give me around 13% damage (100% cdmg gives me around 14%). Whereas 7% IAS gives me around 7% damage. So, for me, a 20% elemental damage still > any of these.

ps: edited because it was wrong! doh.gif

Actually I'm getting confused... Based on same calculation, if say I increase dps by 10%. 1 mill to 1.1mill. Then I increase it by another 10%. So that's 120% dmg - 1.2 mill dmg

1.2mill/1.1mill ~ 9%

In before I got it all wrong :d

When you get another 10% from 1.1mil, you actually get 0.11mil damage. So, once you put that on, you should have 1.1+0.11= 1.21.

Ops... i spot a mistake in my post. In that example, the math (based on video) was based on having only 20% elemental. Adding another 20% elemental will only gain you 16.6%.

In the case, if you already have 40% elemental, another 20% elemental will give you:

160/140 = 1.143 ~ 14% damage
