hello good day

I read conflicting opinions on early settlement rebate for personal loan , particularly Maybank Personal Financing-i

Do I get rebate for settling early (within half of the tenure) ? (Meaning only pay the outstanding principal + 3% fee)

I do know that citibank personal loan allows it (pay only principal), even though the rate is flat

any help appreciated notworthy.gif

Hi, just wondering if TS or anyone has any knowledge/experience doing early settlement for the maybank personal financing-i .

im planning to borrow 30k from them (based on maybank2u, its 7%p.a), for 5 years. but i also planning to make an early settlement after selling my house, expect within 6-8 months. it is mentioned there is no penalty fee for early settlement on this package. but im not sure whether will they give rebate for early settlement like most conventional loans.

Borrow : 30,000
Pay Back : (7/100 x 5 x 30000) = 40500
Monthly : 675 (40500 / 60 mnths)
Balance after 6 month : 40500 - (675 x 7) = 36450

So if I made early settlement after 6 months, do I have to pay 36450 or there some kind of rebate and calculation ? and appreciate if someone also have est information the amount i need to pay for the early settlement if got rebate. thanks
