so i was looking at some cars and then i saw this facebook page selling some scrap cars

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Singapore-wh...539780796115092

then, i was wondering why is the car so cheap?

the seller tell me the car no insurance and can drive in malaysia like normal car just dont go simply involve in accident.. and then dont modify it so much..

the question in my mind now is

what will happen if i buy?

what is the consequences that i will face after i buy?

is this save?

I don't mind if the car no insurance but the thing is, can we drive in Malaysia like normal car?

the seller also say that the roadtax is original..

However, the owner of the car's name will not change to mine...

i am kinda confuse and wishing someone can explain to me.

No insurance mean no road tax. No road tax mean cannot drive in Malaysia, i.e. illegal

Road tax have expiry date, max 1 year

Scrap car:
Singapore regulation, all cars in SG have only 10 yrs life span due to the COE. After 10 years, either you re-purchase the COE (cost SGD 70K) again to retain the car or scrap the car with little return (around 10k).

So some funny funny things come around, some business bring in these kind of near 10 years old car to Malaysia, instead of scrapping it, they sell it to Malaysian and drive in Malaysia. Ofcoz it dont have legal documents (insurance, rd tax, import permit).

It wont be an issue if you drive these kind of cars in Malaysia as Malaysia authority dont have the info/ data to tangkap you (kind of grey area). As Malaysia Gov see it as foreign car, as a visitor car. Just that this car cant return back to SG.

But bear in mind, if you happen involve in accident, then god bless you. All sort of consequences may come to you.

Conclusion: These cars are all ILLEGAL!!

From the price I saw in their FB, is almost the price of a full joint half cut...

Beside engine, which has serial number on it, I believe all other parts can be used or resell it...

I heard this kind of deals b4, but after 1 year when the roadtax renewal comes, god knows we still can get in touch with them or not...

Singpore scrap car .

at first you can't involve in accident , because u can't really claim insurance .
while for road tax part . they'll make one twins for u .
** Means they register one car which is same model as u , and a original road tax with ur car no.plate .
** This road tax is 100% ORIGINAL which is same with ur car no.plate .

but the risk is here , ur car road tax engine no. is diffrent as in ur car engine inside .
so beware that JPJ/Custom people might open ur car bonnet (althought less likely happen) .

other than that , u can drive without worry on the road ( just avoid insurance claim things when accident )

** Not Singapore bribe eh . is JPJ people bribe .

it's Malaysia Number plate , they'll register a number plate for u as in twin (they's actually register on another car with that car engine number)

so they put the malaysia plate on ur car . and u can drive with no problem on road .
even police block or jpj block , they'll check ur road tax , and it will be match with ur car model .
* dont let them open ur bonnet will do , haha

if kinda tangkap saman (speeding), chances are the real owner will be pissed since there is 'illegal twin on the road'. yes i think this is quite rampant. its fine if you buy it for parts car or use in track.

These cars, drive at you own peril but please (try) not to drive on public roads. If the car cause or involved in accident, and if there is mortality (orang mati) involved.

..possibly be jailed for manslaughter.

actually i didnt aim to buy the car for vroomvroom.. just i feel that at that price is kinda worth it for the car.. even we buy a new car now example like perodua myvi also need around 30k+ , but with that rm30k + i can actually sit a better car.. im not sure whether what i think is correct anot la.. but i feel is ok if it didnt relate me into jail.. that's the thing i worry.. i worry that later jpj open my bonnet then gg.com masuk jail.. if by penalty $$ still ok la..

Car not road legal
No insurance
How??
Buy proper used car instead
Beside,if you can't afford the purchase price of the car, chance are you can't run a more expensive car(Remember insurance, maintenance, road tax etc do add up)

car gets towed away, you will most probably never get to see it again, ever... your 30 odd thousand spent gone...

if there are serious stuff linked to that number plate done by your other twin or possibly triplet or quadruplet (why would you guys think they would only duplicate the same plate once?)... they might think it's you and pile all the charges onto you unless you can prove otherwise....

even if you do not get caught, you'd have to drive worry when and where the law will spring up on you every minute that you spend in that car...

not saying that all of the above will necessarily happen... but, don't encourage all this stuff... buy what you can afford, else don't buy it at all...

that is unless you want to pull a bank heist, run someone over or some other stuff more illegal than you ride can ever be... i don't see why anyone with a sane mind would want something like this...
