I spent the last few days doing a full detail on my car.

Wash, claybar, compound, polish, sealant on the exterior plus interior cleaning.

Very very tired and sweated bucket loads.

I think I'm getting too old for this biggrin.gif

After wondering a long time if I should try to do wet sanding or not I finally decided to give it a go.

I had some paint chip marks on my front bonnet and have put some touch up paint on it a few months ago.
Yesterday I wet sanded the spots very gently and the area after wet sanding looked very dull. sweat.gif
But I was confident that Meguiars compound M101 should be able to bring back the shine.
I applied M101 to an orange foam pad and worked the area.
After buffing off the compound the sanding marks were all gone and the area is shiny again thumbup.gif

Unfortunately I still don't have enough skill to properly do paint touch up.
The spot where I did the touch up is less visible now but I can still see a minor hole there dry.gif

Hi,

From my understanding, the process is as follow. Hope I got it right.
Wash > claying > wash > sealent > wax

If after the above process, can I do claying say monthly without waxing? Meaning can claying be done more frequently?

When you do claying you'll also remove the wax.

So you'll need to wax again after claying.

I only do claying when the surface feels abit rough after wash and dry.
