Just drop by there and look for Hendry. Sell my name if you want...and ask away. I've once brought one of the members here and we spend like around 2 hrs there...Q&A sessions....hahaha....

You should be able to get the 3" backing plate from them...they have Lake Country, Buff and Shine, etc.
No problem with that....but I need to find out who's holding on to it though....hahahah....
Aiyo....that's paint la. I'm referring to other types of coating....like 22ple, Sonax, ArtDeShine, DG Nano Glass, etc. can now buy locally and DIY already....
*
Sounds interesting eh. By gf sure bruce.gif moneyflies.gif bruce.gif !! so they bring Lake COuntry... INTERESTING! wub.gif

QUOTE(KrisMas @ Sep 23 2014, 02:03 PM)
Bro, if you wash your car with either ONR or OCWash then it won't be a fair comparison....those two stuffs are loaded with beading 'enhancing' polymer. Even bare panel would bead after using either of the products.

I would love to see the beading effect of OOC after multiple wipes with IPA or OPC....now that would be very convincing indeed.
*
QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Sep 23 2014, 02:09 PM)
Right well then, I rest my case since I used ONR and OCWash. But Opti Coat can withstand OPC and other APC no? Ok maybe the beading might affect, which I not sure. Since people usually re-wash the whole car.
*
CONFUSED!

WHats ONR/OOC/IPA/OPC and etc? rclxub.gif

QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Sep 23 2014, 04:55 PM)
Was told it was Opti-Coat before apply.
Well, it was done by the brand owner himself, guess it should not be the issue of application. The car was only 3 months old.

This is my own experience and also of my friend, who knows nothing about detailing. How others experienced it maybe different. Not sure if there is anyone else that can share...

Maybe what krismas said is correct, the Optimum shampoo helps in retaining or adding the durability of the coat. Should have told my friend this... He refused to use ONR simply because no bubbles    sweat.gif

But I was thinking, why not the vertical panel while only horizontal panel that was affected only... Is it heat issue or what..?

Actually I was told of the warranty period, but since nothing in hand-writting, should I go back to the detailer?

What would shops/detailers do in issue like this? Re-apply the coat?
*
Sounds convincing with ONR after applying Opti-Coat. Well i havent use ONR yet u mean ONR not producing any foam at all?

krismas I always use Meguairs Gold Class Car Wash, would it affect the Opti Coat if one day I plan to coat on the body? hmm.gif

SOrry sorry i scared got wrong info hehe. DOes it need to be diluted or can be use directly?

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Sep 23 2014, 05:03 PM)
Ok well, according to Autogeek forum, whereby in certain areas many people need to deal with hard water, as in even when they washing their car with any their favorite shampoo, they needed to rinse real often else the waterspots etch in like within minutes. Adding one cap of ONR helps "soften" the water for them.

Alright, I better stop lol... Too many Meg's die hard and anti OPT here.
*
Bro dont say like that leh, I still see what you typing there and learning some info of Opti. Im not die hard Meg's just that i been sticking with it for so some time d. laugh.gif laugh.gif

QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Sep 23 2014, 05:09 PM)
ONR do not produce bubbles like those "snow car wash"... Well, telling someone noob on detailing is like that, no bubbles mean not clean, period. I still laugh even though he is my best friend, hysterically.  biggrin.gif

Well, there are plenty of other coating that is easily available in the market. But if you want to try Opti-coat, then should probably use ONR or optimum related products... since it can prolong the durability of the coating, maybe. I say maybe because so far don't see much feedback on the post application.

Maybe paint coating is not a really good idea to detailers, like me and quazacolt. Even after apply paint coat, I still wash my car and wax it like crazy...  biggrin.gif

I am not OCD.
*
Agree about that, i keep on find free time to wash my car. Worried that it will fade faster. But now days been busy i only able to wash after 9-12 days. rclxub.gif

OPT fans here  wave.gif Well, I'm not selective or particular brand alone. Just find something useful and use it often. Anyway, finally got the opportunity to polish and opti-coat a truck last week...

Talking about pictures. These are the best i could get out of my camera.

Well, i haven't seen MORE than holograms so i guess that's a consolation.

Yeah, that Maximus guy suggested that compound polish is required (ie. 3 layer polish + 1 layer of wax). Ordinary 2 layers won't cut it anymore because the whole process has been ruined during the polishing procedure. The original detailer offered to fixed it for me but I am afraid of taking my car back to them again. Since they sucked the first time, they most probably sucked the second time and subject my car paint to another abuse by them, is just stupid.

Hmm, how do they measure? Maybe i should ask this Maximus guy to measure it. I know for once they say Honda paints are very soft.

Talking about orange peel. I have several stone chips on my front hood. Very very small. The black pain is already gone revealing a white base but after that disastrous polishing and waxing, one of the chips reveals orange base =(

Is that bad? Do i need to take care of it?
*
Oh man, thats alor of hologram... vmad.gif vmad.gif

yes it is. what you are seeing is just a fraction of a small part of the door panel. these nonsense can be found all over my car. this place should be shut down like forever.

*
That's why sometimes I feel lazy and I wan to send to detailer but it worries me something like that will happen, you know they been doing that years and they feel that their life is just to detail the car and they want it to finish fast then this is happening... Form my point of view I will give my opinion, if I'm wrong correct me.

If I'm in your shoe first I'll just make sure everything is fine no scratch and everything then ill send my car to a better detailer or trustable & professional freelance to clean that up before the dirt and etc blend in to your pain. Hope u better get your car fix as soon... wink.gif
