Ermm....actually....yes...when I received my 1st bottle a few years back....with a lighter....it.s like having a small flame thrower.... tongue.gif

But it can do one heck of a cleaning and can even clean those that can't be clean by normal wash. Dirt stain or marks....no problem. I've seen it turned a yellowish white coloured myvi to *almost* its original white....

UQW is cheaper? Well....maybe cheaper 'per bottle'.....but check out the size/volume.... tongue.gif
*
sounds like a lot of fun brows.gif

and yes that's why i've stuck with it (aside from me being a lazy ass and still using the FIRST DAMN BOTTLE that i've bought 2-3 years ago when i started getting into detailing) for so long.
I've brought up the topic again since my in car bottle and my in house bottle is getting low, which i am looking for possibilities on alternatives, which after this short discussion, looks like i am back to it again laugh.gif

like certain stains, other QD/shampoo just won't get it off. some UQD and voila, gone.
and the amount of bugs/bird dropping i have to deal with after a genting run is just INSANE.
ever seen a bug squished so hard that the carapace became completely flat and the innard/juice (dried btw) got splattered in a circular "upward arrow" pattern so large of a radius it's around twice the bug's size? yea, lots of those, and they stick HARD to the surface doh.gif
i have no doubt bug and tar remover could get it, but then i'd have to deal with the petroleum/oily residue or the fact that it'll definitely ravage through my existing LSP considering it's cleaning power.

it's a dilemma i've always faced in my passion for car, detailing and motorsport/need for speed are natural enemies tongue.gif

hmm didn't actually realize the bottle volume lol.
i'm sure we had that discussion far back either last version or the previous version (shouldn't be this version) laugh.gif
my time really flies... it's like time goes at 200km/h while i'm just walking at the roadside at like 1km/h haha

Hi, my car interior plastic thingy and leather seat getting dirty over year, which detailing product could get rid of those dirty and stubborn mark? Reason i ask because i dont know which type of detailing best solve my issue. As most i see in hypermarket are for leather seat or interior shine and etc....

Thanks, can both bought at hypermarket?
*
meguiar's yes; Sonax may need a lot of digging around. worse case find sonax HQ directly, info via their facebook.

If you browse oversea forum, you can see that there are also negative feedback. So I believe this product might not satisfy certain people with special need.
*
thanks for detailed review. notworthy.gif

able to outline/summary most of the negative feedback via oversea forums?

1. Washing - Ultimate Wash + Wax (microfiber wash mitt + water magnet), Once a week under shaded area to avoid water spot
2. Cleaning - Deep Crystal Cleaner or Smooth Surface Clay Kit + Ultimate Compound
3. Polishing - Deep Crystal Polish
4. Waxing - NX generation 2.0
5. Maintaining - Quik Detailer

I also plan to use Rain-X for windscreen.

And must I use terry cloth/microfiber when applying all the mentioned above? Any good recommendation or can I just buy any microfiber at the market?
*
1) i prefer to go non wax shampoos, like gold class shampoo.
and then use some wowo (wipe on wipe off) sealants like sonax BSD or if you're sticking with megs, ultimate quik wax will do as fine.
that's for maintenance, for just washing/prepping prior to LSP, just the shampoo is enough.
and you'll appreciate stand alone shampoo more as they wont have lsp/wax to interfere the claying/polishing process.

2) clay kit would be a must, consider something like clay cloth for speedier claying smile.gif
if you choose the latter, you'll need to have your own shampoo dilution mix as clay lube, quick detailers (not the ultimate one, the regular red bottle QD) or use dedicated clay lube like dodojuice born slippy.
ultimate compound should be on step 3

3) consider the meg twins: ultimate compound and ultimate polish.
compound for deeper correction, and polish for maintenance/light swirls etc if needed

4) consider the megs ultimate paste wax (or liquid if you're ever planning for machine operation)
consider a topper over the wax to enhance it's durability greatly, such as sonax BSD or megs ultimate quik wax.
my personal lsp preference atm is poorboy's blackhole glaze (awesome on black vehicles as the name implies), megs ULW, sonax BSD.
just bought dodojuice blue velvet so will review/report soon after i try them wink.gif

5) maintenance is a combination of first step as i've covered.
for the spot stuffs like bird droppings/tar/tree sap (avoid parking under trees, seriously lol), consider ultimate quick detailer. Note: if you go with QD for the clay lube, or the smooth clay kit, you will be having 2 bottles of QD. consider splitting some of UQD to a small spray bottle and keep in the car, so you can attend to spot stains on the spot before they can do more damage to your LSP (And eventually clear coat) such as bird shit hardening/penetrating the LSP (last step protection, aka sealant/wax etc) and eventually seeping into the clear coat.

rain x when properly applied = thumbup.gif
preferably you buy cloths for specific usages (eg drying cloth, microfiber for buffing off etc)
consider dropping by osren to start off smile.gif

QUOTE(g88 @ Jan 5 2015, 12:07 AM)
tell you what. For now you will find alot product and knowledge on detailing but within month later you will started getting fedup since black colour hardly can swirl free....
*
it's not *that* bad; however yes black and white are the hardest colors to deal with when it comes to detailing/maintaining sad.gif

then again it also comes down to ocd levels.
as a matter of fact, all cars swirl the same, the only difference is black cars have swirls shown more clearly wink.gif

Good if you could 'accept' it. For me regardless of colour, water sheeting and beading is my main focus. Minor washing /drying swirl is fully acceptable else you will keep cutting your CC and Premier only...

Thats why my rotary and polisher all in DEEP sleep mode  wink.gif

Will still wax my car in a monthly basis after reading a couple of website, some may suggest 3 months, but I guess our climate and environment is much harsher than those mentioned countries.  I guess no harm doing extra wax as a protection. laugh.gif

thanks for the detailed explanation. at the moment i don't have that much problems on cleaning, more towards the long period in between my clean and how dirty they get (very, btw lol. especially if i'm on my track oriented brake pads EBC yellowstuff lol)

i am contemplating between this, permanon platinum (i've seen some good results on wheels, not so much body though as i have way too many LSP that works already) , 22PLE.

My previous car only wash like 3 months once, never wax or clay or any fancy job.  The result, the paint looks dry, crack and swirl all over it  sad.gif

what sifu KrisMas mentioned above.
your methods in any given step is critical in minimizing/preventing damage (eg: swirls)

Might I suggest, in the future and if budget permits, try to go for the Supernatural range...better overall performance.

omg you poisonous snake icon_question.gif
well i was particularly interested in blue velvet because it's hard (supposedly better durability) and it's dark/blue pigments/dye.

I've been getting comments that my car is blue especially during night time, so it would be interesting to make it a reality tongue.gif

overall just generally curious on how it will work along with poorboy glaze, as well as ULW layered on top of it, and lastly topped off by Sonax BSD.

what do you think?
Patrick finds it interesting as well tongue.gif

thread a... DDJ dedicated thread no lo... this thread itself yes lo.
heck, i doubt many knows about DDJ brand anyways and those who know may not ever commit to buying anything also.
it also took me over a year of procrastination to finally pull the trigger tongue.gif

one of the biggest mistake was to let the car dealer sent my car to wash before they pass the car to me, and after 1 week i got the car, only i notice there are hair line scratches, swirl and so on... and after 2 months drive, thanks for those MRT work, stone chips pulak doh.gif not to forget, black color... shakehead.gif aduhhhhh
*
when i confirmed on my new proton inspira, i kept telling the SA/sales guy to NEVER wash my car. just pass me the keys kaotim.

save his time/cost (to send to whatever car wash) etc.
he also more than willing to comply laugh.gif

the moment i get the keys, straight away break 200kph and f*** tons of stone chips/bird crap etc (seriously they have damn good aim when im zooming over 200kph lol)

spent around a week of detailing (few washes, claying, IPA, polishing etc, IPA again, then glaze/multi layer waxing/sealant etc) before CNY and went back ipoh with a f***ing obsidian mirror.
everyone was rather surprised a proton can look rather stunning laugh.gif

yes my car black also:
