QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Oct 27 2014, 07:03 PM) Filco has very high demand and very big fans base. Mine comes with brown but i really like the blues! It was an impulse buy and thought brown would satisfy me but not hearing those clicks frustrates me. Yup. A lot of modding services for MX and Topre. If anyone here want sell Filco TKL cheaply, please contact zennasyndroxx (serious buyer). Anyway thinking of a 60% keyboard for my next purchase. Is Poker II still a good buy now? |

QUOTE(ntw @ Oct 27 2014, 07:58 PM) why didnt u get the blue in the first place then? out of stock? since its so new, sell and get a new one with blues ba. It's out of stock everywhere! Then i just bought the brown on impulse cause i can't wait for a mech. YES and the previous TEX frosted acrylic case / sprit case on GH is the reason why i'm considering a poker 2!imo, poker2 is always a good choice for a 60%. its layout is logical, the keys are lasting, the ease of mod is superb (tons of case) and you will start poisoning yourself with customs afterwards QUOTE(zennasyndroxx @ Oct 27 2014, 08:08 PM) If you want i got switch tester, and a brown switch board to try try if youre in setapak Yo i'm in setapak too do you have clear and green switch tester? Brown or other switch i dont mind. Good price can dy haha. Poker 2 is still a good buy though |

1. Does anyone what are the differences between the KBT and iKBC Poker II?
2. Also, if i were to add LED to the board do i get to adjust the brightness level in 5 stages no matter what LED i use? 3. I've seen some pictures where people change the switches stem and spring without desoldering by poking the 2 side holes. To my understanding it only works with PCB mounted boards and not plate mounted boards. What i am confused about is i seen most of the boards with PCB have a metal plate on top. Does this means they are plate mounted? Cause i've also seen plate mounted boards that are hardwired without a PCB. Can somebody clear this up for me. |

QUOTE(faridr @ Oct 28 2014, 05:06 AM) 1. Taiwan vs China? 1. Only that? Don't they have any differences in marking etc? I saw some boards have the printing on the spacebar and some don't. Some comes in charcoal gray-ish PBT caps and some comes in black PBT keycaps2. Should be able to as the voltage is controlled by another chip and resistor 3. If you see anything (metal, acrylic, plastic) holding the switch on top of pcb, yes its plate mounted. Most keyboard use plate mounted design and you can get specially designed plate that allows opening of switches without desoldering from PCB by poking the 2 side holes. 3. Yep read that this morning thanks! QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Oct 28 2014, 02:16 PM) I won't let the general feels of a single key press determine which switches I'm going with, I bought my Filco blind due to strong suggestion from this thread, after I got the keyboard, it was totally different from what I expected. I thought both filco and poker 2 is plate mounted? After I got my Poker 2, I noticed the differences of: 1. Build quality (Filco vs iKBC) 2. Plate mount vs PCB mount 3. Keycaps material and thickness 4. With and without O-ring I think for those MKB sifu, there's plenty more of why they choose one over another, but I'll leave it for others to add to the list. Wanna ask you guys, hoiw much have you spent on your mechanical keyboard journey? After purchasing the Poker II today i realize it's a pretty expensive hobby. Currently i've spent about Rm600+ just 1 month into this fanatic hobby. Haven't even included keycaps and case mods yet!

Anyone got link to any video or tutorial that teaches how to solder LED on the bottom of the PCB to light up acrylic casing? Is it possible with any LED enabled PCB?

How do i search for dual color keycaps like those keycaps with set color scheme ex dolch/raindrop and etc on taobao? Prefer it to be 61 keys or 87 keys
All i can find is single colored 108 keys and it would be wasted if i buy 2 sets to only get 1 color scheme and keep the rest unused. Or rather can someone give me the keyword for modifiers key? so i could buy the 37 keys + modifiers instead This post has been edited by justordinary: Nov 1 2014, 06:10 PM |
