QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Sep 29 2014, 12:17 AM) Why Matias? You like Alps switch? Nah, haven't try any mechanical keyboard before. I use macbook air, so just simply search best mechanical keyboard for macbook air and poof matias said "'the best keyboard apple ever made' rises again". Checking out the product page the keyboard does look sleek and complement apple product. But I don't know the usability and wether the noise is to loud or not. I've read alps switch no longer in production right? And matias made its own switch but cloning alps.

Actually if you buy Matias keyboard, the shipping is just us$15 as they shipped from their plant in Taiwan. This is perhaps the cheapest shipping ever for quality mechanical keyboard.
There are also two types: Quiet Pro and Tactile Pro. Quiet will be, well, quiet - useful in an office environment. Tactile will be noisy - I am sure you can listen to the sound of the keyboard in Matias website.
The reason why Matias is considered the best Apple keyboards is because the old Apple Mac used Alps switches - orange alps, I believe it was. So when Apple finally made those aluminium thin keyboard, they have left the mechanical keyboard scene and Matias took over.
My first PC, an Acer, was using a black alps. I have used that keyboard for 20 years, so I have a sentimental value over alps. To me, it's WAYYYY better than Cherry MX switches. Matias switches feel like Cherry Blues and Brown and it does have a very special feel to it that I don't find with Cherry. But now, my heart is at Topre switches.
I think you will enjoy Matias. The other question is whether you want to exchange key caps and have different colours/flavours. If you do, Matias has limited choices compare to Cherry.

Hhkb comes to mind since it has dip switch to turn it to mac compatible, simple and beautiful. Much more expensive, but most of hhkb owner seems to love it.

Compare with my Rosewill it is much more quieter, and "feel" heavier to type. Also MX Blue switch, dont know whats different there. But I think I will be quite happy with it.

Probably the only they know is CPU which they refer to the whole system itself, of which in our term is the little chip known as Processor. p/s: Just straight say where's your keyboard section?
