to do public relations, you would need to be able to communicate with all levels of people. So any where would be a good training ground for you, especially one where you make many phone calls, or have to initiate a conversation. PR takes practice, not just learned.

i think what you need to worry bout is not get chosen by a bad company but not chosen at all.

not trying to scare you but i believe there is still time to work things out and polish ur CV and brush up ur communication skills.

employers not only look for academic qualification but most of all will go for confidence candidates with bubbly personality.

be confident and u will be fine.

Normally for industrial training they do not conduct interviews for it. Best if got 'jalan' Try to ask around any companies that your friends are working in.

i dun understand what you mean there miuk....unless the way of gaining a to a placement here in bolehland is different from other place.

if the company u attach to does not perform as they should, you can resign and seek for another company to complete your training. normally trainee wont be able to get to do much serious work but you get to experience the process of doing it. if they dont give you work and i dun suppose u just sit there and wait till the cow come home.

I think Witch is worrying on not getting a placement for industrial training, so thats my advise for getting one. Nothing to do with actual work during the placement.

UTAR PR? You in FAS izzit? biggrin.gif

No need worry too much, I think UTAR has done enough homework to get all of you in industrial training. Dont worry about company good or bad, because every company has a unique senario and culture to deal with, you gain experience any way. It is just the matter of how you present yourself in the future.

What do you mean by that? Forced to choose? It simply sound like you do not want to go industrail training. You has the option to pick your favourite company or UTAR help you to pick one if you dunno where to go, you have your choices, what else choice you want?

Surely you study this course for a reason, and you should know your direction and study this for what. And accordingly you should have an idea about where to go. Otherwise you are just those study dunno for what types, you should let UTAR help you to pick the company. Rather then creating a new ID and asking for open opinions in forum.

as long as the company offer trainee programme, you are alright. of course u wont be able to handle a project on ur own but the chances of you get tag along and gain hands on experience is invaluable.
