u can send it to the apple centre in Malaysia as the warranty for Apple products are global. by the way, u should post ur thread in the 'Apple Bytes' forum instead of here.. good luck to you

I bought a nano for my gf recently in SG but before i bought it, i was told that to check the serial no. there n then to make sure its a genuine apple product. good luck though in the warranty claim. however, i was told before that even if the product isnt covered by apple malaysia, u can still send in for repair ( of cause kena charge la) as long as the ipod's structure is exactly similiar to the genuine ipods

It can't be a fake if you've already used it and synced it with iTunes. Only real iPods can sync with iTunes. China-made fakes resemble the iPod, but does not have the same UI and structure.
