QUOTE(G_KeN @ Sep 1 2014, 05:35 PM) lets face it, only Sir Alex could win the freaking league with that kind of team, and there wont be any new Sir Alex any time soon, if ever.that's how other club had been operating, and now we will have to operate like that because the great man had already retired |

With the rate in which Woody is getting sponsors in, we can sign a whole team of stars/super stars, and never worried about breaching the FFP, that's how scary our spending power is, and it will only be scarier when the debt dwindles down each year

QUOTE(penguinkangyang @ Sep 1 2014, 05:53 PM) Who spoiled the market first actually? And I never said buying success was wrong, we had been doing that even before those sugar daddies era ( remember Ferdinand for 30m, van Nistelrooy, Veron, Yorke, oh and Ronaldo?) what we are against was club buying players with the sugar daddy money, instead of self earn moneyand lets face it, like i said before, only SAF could get away with those "value" talk, find another manager who could operate like that and still win like he did? |

QUOTE(legendofhafiz @ Sep 1 2014, 06:45 PM) i'm sucker for falcao since his porto days.hell, can't believe it even though it just a loan with option to buy. we got players from brazil, colombia, equador, argentina...maybe its time to spice it up with a player from, you know, Chile? we replace rvp for now.i still believe one more signing today |

QUOTE(Spootid @ Sep 1 2014, 06:46 PM) Weird why Ed Woodward n LVG seems to put more emphasis on us getting world class attackers when we have a leaky defence like Liga Malaysia teams... n don't even mention about our sub par midfield... well, RvP is going for surgery, and with welbeck and hernandez gone....its a bit thin up there actuallyThis post has been edited by dlct87: Sep 1 2014, 06:50 PM |

QUOTE(HexPhoenix @ Sep 1 2014, 08:14 PM) maigod. forgot. he can be the third midfielder with Blind-Herrera behind him, and can still be as close to opposition penalty box area as possibleVan Gaal will squeeze every last drops of his power to force Rooney to play: CM. He can be our new Scholes. Our Iniesta. Since Van Gaal's style will adopt skipper based on vision, experience and brain (well verse in tactics, read games etc). I believed he got the brain that Van Gaal envisioned but unfortunately he plays at most front, so at most times he can't see the whole field just like midfielder, defender and keeper does. At the worse he can play CAM, but definitely slow and slowly he will go to CM. |

QUOTE(HexPhoenix @ Sep 1 2014, 08:18 PM) well you got your point, so we might just see Rooney be converted into pure midfielder while Blind will play left wing back, Rojo at center mid, and front line will be Mata--Di Maria--Falcao (RvP needing surgery) |

good luck to Shinji, Dortmund's playing style suits him, and I am sure he will lights up the Bundesliga once again with his skills

that's the thing with welbeck, he's quite good on every part of the football field....except the area that his position required to be good at -- inside the penalty box...
hopefully he can learn to score under Wenger, all the best to him |

all these roots, traditions, club identity means jack s**t when you don't have success, you don't stick to youth product for the sake of sticking to your "tradition" even when said youth product is clearly not good enough, Fergie promoted youth because they were good enough, don't forget that he also booted LOADS of youth product in his tenure, and bought LOADS of stars
