Actually if you guys think about it, when SAF used 4-4-1-1/4-4-2, when attacking, the left/right back will join the attack as well, making it 6 attackers at the final third. Not saying anything la, even though the 3-5-2 would eventually work, I was thinking, why not LVG used the same formation but tweak it to his standard. After all, that philosophy has been used for, what, the past 15-20 odd years, even on the youth players.
