hopefully the players play higher tempo in the 2nd half.
the first half was painfully slow no thanks to the sideway passings of the obviously slow fletcher n cleverly |

i think 3-5-2 kenot pakai anymore. juve lost. qpr lost. we looked lost.
pls lvg change ur tactic. or if u insist on using that, do make a plan b. pretty sure the whole game was based on the same tactic. kena counter easily. defense n midfielders. dunno what to say lah. |

QUOTE(tontolou @ Aug 25 2014, 01:00 AM) actually defense was quite ok in the 2nd half. yeah, none did a good through ball thru the middle at all. very disappointing with side way passing.but here lies the problem. The transition of attacking from def>mid>striker Especially mid, oh my gawd. Pass right flank, Valencia dribble dribble, pass centre. Centre look up, pass left. Young do some sh1t dancing. Pass centre. Centre looks up, pass backwards. Backwards surge forward, pass either left or right flank. I screamed "Float the bloody ball to the centre, or cross it" at my TV for no reason just now So frustrating.... |

jones, the best player for man utd today. m.keane was okay.
blackett, while his defending is 'okay-ish', his passing was terrible. cleverly, slow n too much side way passes. dispossessed a couple of times. fletcher, slower than cleverly n too many mistake young, horrible defending, too many inaccurate crosses valencia, quite good going forward, but hesitant to make crosses when he could have. the front three no comment coz not enough service lol |

Xabi Alonso dropped the hint that di Maria is going to man utd afterall
![]() Xabi Alonso: "Good luck to Di Maria, even if it is at Man Utd. We will never forget your assistance in Lisbon." di maria might be able to reignite man utd's attack, but im more concern with the mid and the back. also, LVG: ”I like Di Maria, but I also like Messi and Vidal. You can not always sign everyone you like." "I cannot say anything about transfers. It's not only Di Maria. Maybe Vidal or Messi. We are a big club." QUOTE(yeelong @ Aug 25 2014, 11:17 AM) sorry, just wanna chip in on kagawa case, but i think kagawa is suffering what Couthino did when he was in Milan. Talented but dunno what to do with him until he met someone who truly know how to use him and develop him. It's best to sell him to some club who really value him then wasted his talents in your club. yeap. not to mention, man utd's tendency to buy multiple players playing no 10 role, and none in the mids. just ma 2 cents. the extremely mediocre mids cost man utd 5 points becoz there's a disconnect between the defense and the forwards. the strikers are not getting the services they required. |

QUOTE(onepack @ Aug 25 2014, 11:33 AM) he's okay, but not great. man utd need to sell their mediocre players like cleverly, welbeck, ando, chicharito etc. the rest of the premier league has stepped up after our 20th premier league trophy. we won simply because the rest of the premier league teams were mediocre. but not anymore. chelsea for example has been excellent in their recent transfer captures. liverpool, after a shaky first season under BR, has matured. Man City's original 11 has always been top notch since last season. we can no longer play the same mediocre team. last season was a shame. remember how we over relied on januzaj? man utd team, 20 times premier league champion, relying on a kid to save the campaign? QUOTE(raizo7 @ Aug 25 2014, 04:53 PM) http://www.marca.com/2014/08/25/en/footbal...1408952119.html there was this 2nd deal that man utd offered to Juve for Vidal, which is 40mil euro + 1 unknown player. this unknown player, contrary to earlier reports, is not chicharito, but instead kagawa. That's a crazy loads of money if true. So, no Vidal then. Give Vidal to Arsenal lah I'm wondering tho, since united are playing 3-5-2 now, where do you guys think di Maria would play? No way he will be used as wing back. The one position that I can think of is CAM. But you already have Mata and Kagawa for that? so dunno lah. i also pening kepala where will di maria gonna play. obviously he wont be playing as wing back because he is not capable to defend. take a look at young, a winger but playing as wing back. his defending is atrocious, with lots of mistackles and poor man marking during set pieces. if di maria gonna play robben role, 1 of the striker (rooney or persie) might have to be dropped, or rooney replacing mata as the AM. |
