QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Aug 25 2014, 09:51 PM) It's also not a coincidence that we only somehow managed to find a winner last weekend only after Lambert came on and played a part in it. Sturridge is obviously not effective as a lone man upfront. Either one of Balotelli or Markovic has to come in for the Spurs game. sturij looks isolated. now I understand y we look for balotelli.afterall, we didn't get any point from Etihad last season too, now we cant lose many points. We go again with spurs, who somehow get their confidence back. I hope we can win, 1-0 is enough.. |

QUOTE(carloz28 @ Aug 26 2014, 02:31 PM) Not sure about you, but I'm personally very disappointed that we didn't win yesterday. To become champions, these are the games we need to win to separate us from the rest. "Oh it's Man City with their very own galacticos, playing in their own turf, so it's OK to drop 3 points to them." That is just WRONG. actually, to be a champion, we need to win against the team like QPR, Soton, mid to lower table team. if we win against Man City but fail to win against smaller team, we are not win the league. Check out Rafa team when we were 2nd in the league last time, we win against big team but fail with smaller team. It sure boost our confidence if we win with man city, but it is important of how we react in each match. If I'm BR, I wouldn't incept this kinda mentality into my players. Yes, players shouldn't dwell too much on the loss and move forward, but I hope the players feel angry with themselves for losing such a great opportunity to pull away from the rest and use this to fuel the fire in them. If they can accept this loss, I bet BR and his boys will show the same level of acceptance against the other big teams and complacency will start creeping in gradually. Furthermore, losing against our rival contenders means we have extra pressure to beat the smaller teams. And if we drop points against smaller teams, slowly but surely our dream of becoming EPL champions will once again end up in smoke. Next year again maybe. Bottom line, home or away, it's not acceptable to be beaten by Man City who is not even playing at their best. Lots of work to be done. |

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Aug 31 2014, 02:50 AM) No one outside of those at Atletico expected him to be what he is today so that is some good vision there albeit not as good as those who spotted him in the first place. Oh and he wasn't a 20 goal striker when we targeted him (I only count league goals btw, I don't rate cup goals against minnows). So our Tommy, Dicky and Harry were doing a good job. Atletico also loaned him out for many seasons only to buy him back to loan him back out again before becoming what he is today, so they aren't exactly the ones who deserve all the praise for "grooming" him. actually atletico has good talent of striker, we should just buy the striker from them. Torres, Aguero and Costa |

good display by Moreno. silent performance by Markovich, a lil bit afraid to breakthrough spurs defence. also good intercept by emre can.
allen also not bad. he works hard to gain his position. sakho and lovren also get a clean sheet. balo? good performance. fill the gap between strurij and midfield that we lack in previous 2 matches. eriksen?? as usual he was not shine against big team. |

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Sep 1 2014, 02:34 AM) Liverpool the victors in Valdes chase? good to get valdes for 2nd keeper. but to wait until Nov is quite long time.. and need to monitor his fitness too.Simon Mignolet might be in for some serious competition in the Liverpool goal before long, according to the Express. They say Brendan Rodgers wants to sign ex-Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, now a free agent, and he is not perturbed by the fact that the Spanish star is currently getting over a cruciate injury. Valdes should be fit by November, and Rodgers is apparently prepared to put him through a thorough medical before snapping him up. His sweeper-keeper gifts would certainly seem to fit into Liverpool's brand of football, so there might just be something in this. |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Sep 2 2014, 01:26 AM) Not true. Currently what United are spending are revenues and some unused $ from last season. The only chance of United becoming bankrupt is when they are relegated where all the sponsors will run away. they no need to relegate and they wont be another leeds. but their financial will downhill very much if they wont qualify again in UCL. 1st season without UCL also they r difficult to get top player without offer huge transfer fee and wages. |

16millions for wellbeck, I don't know whether its steal or overprice. but seem that goon is desperate for replacement player for GIroud injury.
with this price, I guess hendo price is quite acceptable, but Allen need to prove his worth the price we paid. |

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Sep 2 2014, 02:30 AM) Allen is a decent squad player who is useful in away games. The problem is some fans started hyping him up as xavi and compared a young xavi to him at similar ages. I agree with u, Allen is useful when our team being attack by opponent. yes he is quite overprice when we bought him, but that's a price for British player.as Hendo, I think he now worth of the price we paid for British player. same goes to Wellbeck, he is around 7-8 millions price tag but British... add 10 millions more. Wenger also said this before but all he can do now is to pay high price for british player. no choice. |

QUOTE(farisq @ Sep 8 2014, 05:32 AM) We know this is gonna happen sooner or later, injuries during international break. And we know what happened last time when Hendo was out due to red card in M.City. Correct me, but as far I can remember we struggled to get 3 points after he got suspended. Lets hope we fare better this time. lets hope Can and Markovic can step up. |
