"Oh it's Man City with their very own galacticos, playing in their own turf, so it's OK to drop 3 points to them." That is just WRONG.

If I'm BR, I wouldn't incept this kinda mentality into my players. Yes, players shouldn't dwell too much on the loss and move forward, but I hope the players feel angry with themselves for losing such a great opportunity to pull away from the rest and use this to fuel the fire in them. If they can accept this loss, I bet BR and his boys will show the same level of acceptance against the other big teams and complacency will start creeping in gradually.

Furthermore, losing against our rival contenders means we have extra pressure to beat the smaller teams. And if we drop points against smaller teams, slowly but surely our dream of becoming EPL champions will once again end up in smoke. Next year again maybe.

Bottom line, home or away, it's not acceptable to be beaten by Man City who is not even playing at their best. Lots of work to be done.

No one outside of those at Atletico expected him to be what he is today so that is some good vision there albeit not as good as those who spotted him in the first place. Oh and he wasn't a 20 goal striker when we targeted him (I only count league goals btw, I don't rate cup goals against minnows). So our Tommy, Dicky and Harry were doing a good job. Liverpool the victors in Valdes chase?

Simon Mignolet might be in for some serious competition in the Liverpool goal before long, according to the Express.

They say Brendan Rodgers wants to sign ex-Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes, now a free agent, and he is not perturbed by the fact that the Spanish star is currently getting over a cruciate injury.

Valdes should be fit by November, and Rodgers is apparently prepared to put him through a thorough medical before snapping him up. His sweeper-keeper gifts would certainly seem to fit into Liverpool's brand of football, so there might just be something in this.

Allen is a decent squad player who is useful in away games.The problem is some fans started hyping him up as xavi and compared a young xavi to him at similar ages.

Allen is Welsh, but yes, still overpriced. He isn't the best passer or most creative player but he brings stability to the midfield.

We were out of CL for so many years, even when we able to provide CL game, big money, we still can't attract marquee yet, maybe 2 or 3 consecutive times in CL then.

We know this is gonna happen sooner or later, injuries during international break. And we know what happened last time when Hendo was out due to red card in M.City. Correct me, but as far I can remember we struggled to get 3 points after he got suspended. Lets hope we fare better this time.
