Fiction books. Especially those by Stephen King and Jeffrey Archer. Both are amazing story tellers.

QUOTE(KevinZZZ @ Aug 24 2014, 03:47 PM) thank you, so, would you prefer the type that share personal experience which inspire and motivate you to do something positive as well? On the contrary, a quick read to both authors would reveal that they both write thrillers and have a habit of killing the ones closest to the main character. Not really inspiring and motivating. Hahaha. However, the two are exceptional story tellers in a sense that their stories are both gripping and engaging. |

I don't have much preferences when it comes to genre of books as long as they are interesting. I'm someone who reads according to my mood
When I'm feeling low, I pick books that will inspire me, usually Fiction or Self-Help. Recently I just finished The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and I really enjoy it, the book helped me cope with my recent breakup. I love books by Cecelia Ahern too, and also Mitch Albom. I was at a thriller/horror frenzy earlier and read books by Christ Carter, (not for the faint of heart), but I can't put them down once I've started to read them, brutal but interesting plot twists. |

I read anything, even books from children's section. Just for the feel good factor and the beautiful illustrations. I still love Little Prince and I find it's philosophies hold true in real life.
Right now I'm into horror/thriller and self help books particularly in finance. Need to manage my RM better. |

Any fictional story that is written light-heartedly or with a humorous streak. Epic stuff is good, but I can't get to engrossed about the "woe is me, look at my problems" type of narratives. I have enough to deal with in the real world.

Fiction especially thriller/mystery/investigation types.
I'm not big on romance but I don't mind romance comedy once in a while. I often find them too cheesy for my liking and I'd stop reading because they turn me off. I like the kinds that provoke your mind and lots of suspense with twists. The rest like self-help and non-fiction, not so much. |
