Both specs very very similar. Only difference is SoC and UI. Personally I prefer Redmi Note 4G coz snapdragon and MIUI 6 feels more lollipop-ish

Galaxy S5 is indeed good but a bit overbudget. RM 1560 not including GST I believe. Still, I'd prefer having a naturally waterproof phone instead of having to do any type of coating service so I may save up a bit more for it.

Someone else I know has suggested Sony Xperia Z1 for about RM 1100. Is it any good?

If there is no other choice and I have to get a non-waterproof phone, I am looking at the OnePlus One.
