The most reliable way that I know is to head up to Mahalo Trail once again. You'll meet the old man again (if you've completed the trail before) and the game will autosave.

The game is tapping into more processing power / memory by disabling some functions (mainly the web browser and Miiverse). If you look closely you can notice the non-new 3DS also restarts briefly everytime it launch the demo.

Monster Hunter games and Smash Bros did the same thing as well.

The fact we can't save anywhere is just a demo specific design choice, I'm sure we can save anywhere in the full game.

But unfortunately if you play on a non-new 3DS, no screenshots saving (via Miiverse).

Dang the lyrics are sad.

I think they frame locked it regardless of which hardware you use. The performance is the same when snapping pokemon between regular and New 3DS, and it doesn't improve even if you turn 3D off.

Imagine playing double battles with 4 primals + 2 trainers onscreen, gg old 3DS.

Yes you can. There's no online pass or things like that in Nintendo games so far.

Do note that some of the online feature has ended on November 1, all of them have something to do with PGL which is being updated for S&M. But basic ones like trading and unranked battles still functions just fine.

2016/ 2017 competitive ruleset will be based on Sun & Moon so if you're going for that there's no point getting the previous games.

But even until now I still like replaying old pokemon games once a while because I feel the single player is still the main attraction of these games.

I think most of us knew. Some jerks are even spoiling the story by putting them on youtube thumbnails and they appeared on suggested videos.
