We've migrated the DB to a brand new server to improve site performance as well as address the ever growing traffic on the site.

If you're experiencing any problems with the site, please post it here.

Is there a database rollback? Some post have been missing and the last poster shown is not the "real" last poster. This issue happened in Handphones and Communication forum.

any other posts with this problems? we've got to decide whether to roll back to the 3.30pm backup.

if its just a remote problem, then we'll leave it as it is.

there are a few threads created during the backup from 3 to 330 pm that might be affected. We realize this issue and its not worth for us to conduct the database migration again for this few posts, unless some other problems also arise in the next 24 hours.

I guess for postings that went missing (a lot, including mine), nothing much can be done. AFter all, there was a huge sign that said "Maintenance mode from 1PM to 11PM".

the server is exactly where it is. we only moved the database to a new machine (at the same location).

The speed issue is most probably on your end. We'll continue to monitor the situation.

Screenie included. Not a big issue, but appears sometimes at the bottom of the page. Usually goes unnoticed.

Doesn't seem to be a server issue, most probably its streamyx.

Try the bandwidth test to see the connection speed between you and the LYN Servers.

well, it isn't the servers.

possibly a problem with the datacenter as the connection speed to it is slow.

Your current bandwidth reading is:

1.08 Mbps

which means you can download at 138.38 KB/sec. from our servers

looks like the connection is ok today notworthy.gif

Yes, we believe the connection issue has been solved. We're still monitoring though. There will be a database maintenance over the weekend also to clean up the database by the resident DB wizard wkkay. An announcement will be made soon on the possible downtime.
