Hello friends, I would like to ask what should I do for this lens. I dropped the camera into wet sands 3 days back, the camera is still ok but somehow the water creeped into the lens. I tried using hair dryer to blow the lens, and then I put into a box of rice to absorb the moisture. So far the water inside the lens is lesser but beginning to show watermark. What to do? please help me. *I am in United Kingdom, Liverpool currently.. Don't really know the local camera shop here*

QUOTE(aaronpang @ Aug 19 2014, 09:55 PM) The water will leave minerals and other deposits as it evaporates The lens is thrashed... might not be worth repairing unless it's a very rare or expensive. ok, I'll consider the option.. thanks mate QUOTE(rainy~days @ Aug 19 2014, 10:34 PM) salt water? corrosion will set in quite fast~ you should at least go get quotation from the tamron to check worth repair it or not. if more than half the price~ you might as well get a new 1... I will go to the local repair shop later, as tamron repair shop in UK quite little, need to travel far to reach them.. and yeah, if more than half the price I would not consider to repair already..
