Conclusion

Since the fan arrived at our testlab, we truly impress with the quality. The performance is really stunning with high airflow but less noise produce. The fan comes with a good amount of useful accessories too. Aerocool produced another great case fan with a lot of effort to release this fully feature’s fan. Anti-vibration pad and noise dampening truly makes a good combination with the rubber surface fan blade to further reduce the noise produced during cutting the air .And of course, the inclusion of LED’s is always a bonus. The dual layers blade design and colour combo also adds up a unique aspect to these fans and allows them to really easily blend into user build. With the price tag of RM49, we doubt user can find a better or equal performance fan for less money.

Finally I would like to thanks Aerocool for the samples and hope to see more from them in the future.

Performance: 5/5
Materials: 5/5
Specifications: 4/5
Appearance: 5/5
Performance/Price Value: 4/5

Pros
+ Awesome sleek-look design
+ High airflow with low noise
+ Competitive price
+ Alot of useful accessories

Cons
- Speed of the fan cannot be control with PWM

There seems to be some inconsistent information about this fan.
I bought the 12cm Fan.
On specification, it only show 1200rpm @ 54.8CFM . It's supplying 12v as well.
But on your specification and a couple of sites, it shows that this fan is able to perform up to 1500rpm.
But wierd thing is, they only show at 1500rpm, it could generate only 81.5cfm.
Nothing about it able to generate 93.4CFM.
Why did the specification differs from the original packaging product spec so much.

Be cautious of this fan. mad.gif

Let me remind you guys.
This Fan you guys are looking at is an outdated model which the local supplier/distributor brought in.
They did a copy and paste job specification from the official site without looking at the product they imported in.
Check the picture.
Here's the outdated model specification, dont believe, check the picture TS uploaded for reference. It could only run at 1200RPM.

DS 120 mm
12V@
1200 RPM
54.8 CFM
15.8 dBA

7V@
800 RPM
36.7 CFM
12.1 dBA

DS 140 mm
12V@
1000 RPM
64.8 CFM
14.2 dBA

7V@
700 RPM
39.8 CFM
10.8 dBA

Here's the latest Specification.

DS 120 mm
12V@
1500rpm
81.5 cfm
2.29 mm h20
23.1 dba

7V@
1100rpm
62.5 cfm
1.25 mm h20
14.8 dba

DS 140 mm
12V@
1500rpm
93.4 cfm
1.98 mm h20
23.4 dba

7V@
1100rpm
71.2 cfm
1.41 mm h20
15.5 dba

I've bought this fan from a local seller on Lelong. For some reasons, i'm not revealing the information who is it.
The fan was indeed quiet. However when i check my bios, it's only staggering between 1100-1200RPM at full speed.
As compared to a loud CM calibur fan i had, 81.5CFM should be able to be on par with my calibur fans knocking off more then 10degrees off my cpu.
Mind you, it's an old x58 rampage 3 extreme. Which is the high temp series range mobo.
My cpu was heating against 58-60degrees when i put on this fan in room temp.
When i switched back to cm excalibur, it put my cpu back to 41-42degrees.
Mind you, this is not on gaming but just normal activities like leaving the desktop to seat around doing nothing at room temperature.

goldfries had actually revealed the specs on his blog on this fan clearly.
I've checked further about this fan.
It's not old or new spec.
Seems that Aerocool made two types of the same fan which is pretty ridiculous.

Only the US version carries the higher cfm spec while the other version that was distributed to other region other then US had a ridiculous low cfm spec.
So American has a better deal then us.
What sole distributors imported were mainly from taobao i suspect. They did not read enough details about the fan while putting this fans up for sale. They slap in the US version spec.

One of the seller lelong seller even told me the fan could run only at 800rpm if it's non US version and US version runs at 1100RPM. doh.gif

I was at a lost for words. Apparently, he did not even know what he's talking.
