We can still send the point redemption request through email right?

Lately they keep replying that the email is for non-confidential matters only.

I submitted through branch (Midvalley) at the beginning of the monthly statement cycle and it's reflected in the next statement (Dec). It's quite fast. Haven't tried email though.
*
ya, possible thru branch. it is quite a hassle as the staff there keep insisting for a photocopy of IC.

was it BT form? did they reject it?  unsure.gif  unsure.gif  unsure.gif

nope, i just emailed to inform them that there is a problem with the e-statement and the reply i received was they are unable to reply due to security reason.

so i replied back stating I was highlighting a general issue. I also added that, the email will serve as a notice that I shall not be liable for any late charges due to this matter. Few minutes later, they email the e-statement to me. Security reason konon.

Thanks for the tips.
From now onwards to get e-statement earlier we need to 'threaten' them officially through email!  cool2.gif

Yes, I did that for the pass 3 months. Just fill the redemption form, sign, scan and email them. It will credit on statement date.
In fact I pre-filled all details using adobe acrobat editor... just print and sign every month.  tongue.gif cool2.gif
Or, maybe can do digital signature, then no need printing at all.  laugh.gif
I guess they traced based on your email id. You must have emailed them with your e-statement registered email id.

Good! Thanks for the info.

My recent 3% quarterly cash rebate is short of the amount from my own calculation (I suspect that there is a transaction, posted on 4/9, which is excluded from the calculation for my third quarterly cash rebate).

I sent an email to CS to ask about that. Then, I received a call from CS saying that in their system the spending period for qualifying for the 3% quarterly cash rebate is as below (card approval date on 4/3),

Q1 : 4/3~4/6
Q2 : 5/6~5/9
Q3 : 6/9~6/12

I told her that the mechanism is not the same as what could be found on their website as what I understand (in this forum, on the first page), and it is not fair to the customers. Finally, she said she will check with the marketing dept and see if they can compensate the cash rebate back to me, and promised to get back to me.

I try to browse through their website again after the CS call. The mechanism shown on the first page in this forum page is no longer there. I wonder if any of you here notice the change? I don't really understand the quarterly spending period shown on the table on the website.

(e) 3% Quarterly Cash Rebate with minimum total accumulated retail transactions (by Principal and / or
Supplementary) of RM3,000 per quarter (based on Posting Date) excluding retail transactions charged in
local WATAMI Restaurants. The first day of the 3% Quarterly Cash Rebate follows the date of the approval
of the Principal Cardholder and it cannot be changed. The rebate amount will be capped to a maximum of
RM150 per quarter. The rebate amount will be credited and reflected in the following month’s statement
(Principal Cardholder’s account).

Still the same right? hmm.gif

My 25 Dec Transaction of rm105 on Watami card has been charged twice!!!

Called this morning and confirm with Aeon it end out the 2 transaction is totally identical with same approval code.

I believe this is not possible, Aeon said will investigate and call back but still no news now. Will call back and check after work

How do you think?
*
Just file a dispute and let them investigate.

they confirm was just one record, will remove the extra transaction.
But it seems like will only remove during statement come.
It will still keep on the unbilled transaction for a while and consume my credit limit
*
oh still under unbilled la..this is okay, happened to me few times with other cards too, esp when the terminal is having issue.

I made an online transaction of today and I received a phone call claiming to be from Aeon to verify that I made the transaction. The caller requested for my NRIC for verification but I refused to provide the number as the call is initiated not from the customer side. She mentioned that I will be receiving an SMS to alert and verify that I have made the transaction.

Later, I received an SMS that my card is blocked due to security reason and requested me to contact the same number. I refuse to do so and have emailed a complaint on the handling of this matter. The caller just said the SMS is to alert and verify, but now block.

Haha no need plan. I use this card as backup for wise and m2c even though i can't max out amex cashback.
Since this card feature is similar to Hong leong GSC (0.4% cash rebate), i will use watami for all general transaction which is out of Amex and Wise category.

Whether i can hit RM3000 per quarterly is just an additional bonus if i do get that.
There are times when it's not weekend and it's not petrol, phone or departmental, for eg. dining, most of the medium size chinese restaurant doesn't accept amex so i rather swipe my watami compared to GSC card.

Online transaction most probably will be using watami as well compared to previously using GSC. (It would be great if i'm qualified for PB VS)

That's my sharing from my watami CC usage.

if your spending is near to RM3000, just buy shopping vouchers to top up. 3% gives you RM90, better than nothing.
