Say need to buy materials for waterproofing. Then nobody come to do any work. I canceled the job and until now the refund keep getting delayed.

He scammed my mom too. Damage done $1400, paid and never pick up phone. BLArdy SOB cheated old ppl's money too.

⚠️ Scam Warning Latest update 20/6/2026- Appliance Repair Fraud (Kuala Lumpur) -Scammer Yong Kun Leong

Beware of a fellow named Yong Kun Leong. He is running around KL and scamming people. He will pretend to fix appliances in your house and will tell you he needs to buy parts for the repairs, then he will ask money from you to get the parts. After he gets the money. You can no longer contact him. He had ran away with the money.

I tell you beware of this fellow, he is a disgrace for all the hardworking Msians.

If by chance you know him. Contact the police, he is bad news. And as much as possible share this info to your friends and family, that guy is one tricky one.

Posting this to warn others based on my personal experience.
A man identifying himself as Yong Kun Leong distributed appliance repair flyers to condo mailboxes around Kuala Lumpur. After inspection, he said spare parts were required and asked for RM450 upfront to purchase the parts.

After receiving payment:
• He became uncontactable
• He never returned
• The repair was not done
• The money was not refunded

Additional findings
After this incident, I searched online and found multiple forum reports describing a similar modus operandi for this person:
• Different phone numbers used
• Different company names used
• Similar incidents have been reported by others
• Allegedly reported cases since around 2014 up to 2026
