hokay this is my case.raidmax scorpio 868

so far only did these:

uv mods with flourescent stickers
fluorescent colored fans
custom cable wrappings
120mm top blowhole

and then,grew tired of my casing,please guys,gimme some idea for the anticipated facelift!

Is it custom made?
Anyway, my suggestion : Perhaps add one more colour ? As in not so plain green (Not sure whether it really helps)

U can cut out the side panel design. This way you have a better view of the inside.

A new paint job will also helps

new paintjob. a fancier type, maybe a combo of orange/red for a sportier look, or just black for the classic stylo look, or perhaps even a complete white everything look.

Remove the funny ass shape on your sidepanel and use decal stickers of your favorite character or name or design or soemthing.

take out the UV bling-bling mods, and use it for your ....table or something instead. Put white CCFl's. Damn sweet if u ask me

fluoro stickers can get em at stionary shops..around rm3 for one big piece

i wanted to make a two tone case.black case and blue-ish interiors,well i'll stick to UV mod this time although i agree that white ccfls rawks...

cut the "z" sidepanel thingie

replace the whole plexiglass make 2 proper ducts direct to the cpu & gpu

maybe 'decorate' the right-sidepanel alil bit

for identity,
try use floppy panel or cd bay... carve ur name there..
then add led at the back

or just lcd like allngap done.. hhhee use small small one..

but my bays are stealthed and i liked it that way

Does the paint stick on the cable wrap perfectly?

yap i sprayed it

instead of applying coats of paint, i just pointed the nozzle far away and just use the paint dust/particles to stick onto the wraps.layer by layer.

it sticks perfectly as long the layers are not too thick.
if its too thick,the paint'll look glossy

so far the color on the wraps will only worn off/scratched by excessive force.

im current doing a btx mod to the case,or more accurately inverted atx mod,

its been awhile since my last post( a year).been out of the pc modding board for a while.duh.busy.


however suddenly i got the itch to mod my case when i saw btx rigs.they looked kinda cool with the gpu on top of the casing.plus i really wanted my psu to sit on the bottom of the case







this is how my casing looks like.

however its an old pic and the current case already had the funny arse 'z' thingie removed.and the sleeve already changed to a red 1.

one of my uv sticks also broke.lol.terpijak when i removed it 4 cleanin.

Objective:
BTX transformation
Make a top panel window
renovate the side panel
interior flat black
exterior metallic black

the mods are currently undergoing so pics up soon.


keep in mind that:
-this is my first time doin a major mod
-i only have a drill and a grinder in my power tools collection( semua pinjam)


so,expect things to get ugly lol

kinda lazy to tidy em up until mod is complete.summore hardwares are constanly goin in n out for this past few months


first step of the process.stripped everything down


after a while i found out the most troublesome part.My back panel isn't riveted to the chassis.its jointed!


separated! using iron saw(gergaji besi).the grinder was 'away' as his master needs it.lol


yay.successfully inverted the rear panel.testing.how it looks like.


hmm not bad.

u can use arcylic ,alot of work cut the blow hole after that bend it by heat gun or flame

continuation to the cooler mod.ive decided the material for my cooler..shud be cheap or free.duh.express made.




a cd-roms base



lined up everything real nice so i won't screw up big time.btw i'm gonna cut it wif saw.grinder 'away'.



tada.compeleted.rmaotfl!after everything was folded rite up i slapped some green surplus stickers on it.made some rippoff from the 2900's blower design duh.
in case u guessed the pointy things up the front supposed to be fangs



she's aint a beauty but she get the job done.the fan i used was amd's thin stock hsf.

total cost.RM 0.00

the chassis part


painted the interiors with flat black.due to unavailability of jigsaw i used grinder to cut a hexagonal hole as outtake on the rear and front.the the lower

rear i just removed the restrictive meshes.damn ugly.sigh.


everythin was laid down and sprayed.shown are the parts after 2nd layer of paint i guess.after that i left em dry for days to see the reactions or what came

up after my express sanding job.later, the sanding marks are still there even after 2 layers of paint

after layers of paint and re-sanded once again after the earlier layers are dry.


not quite the result i expect btw the greenish spot already fixed

grinder's back to papa so i get to cut off the roof.lol.filed everything and down to paintjob



result.no acryllic yet.no $$$.planning to put 1 80mm fan ontop.

Sanded it with grade 1000 sandpaper on the 2nd layer coz 'scars'everywhere.

i only use angle grinder and hand saw (gergaji besi) hehe.
er the rm0 thing is for the blower only.100% surplus materials hehe

point taken and i replaced it with a blank plain metallic black cooler.hehe

why mod? coz i got bored with the green already.hehe
