The Lens is working 100% if not zoomed all the way to its furthest end i.e. 42mm at which time, AF works flawlessly but when turned for Manual Focusing, Lens most of the times work but sometimes goes dark and this messages appear on the screen; "Check the status of a Lens". But when return to the locked position, turn the camera off & on again, it will work again.

Did any Olympus Pen users have the same problem as well?

I read through so many camera forums but I yet to have an exact and satisfying answer regarding this lens issue.

Anyone who has already fixed their lens please let me know more about your situation, how much did you pay for repairing the lens? How long do you need to wait? Besides sending to Olympus service center, is there any alternatives?

Thank you guys! rclxms.gif

It seems that the contact pin in your lens is loose or broken. Have you tried to clean the contact pin at the rear of your lens? I had the same issue but it was on the 14-42mm mark I. If I not mistaken Olympus charged me close to RM500 or RM600 to repair it due to the reason that the lens is out of warranty period. I not sure and I can't really remember because it was long time ago but it was very costly. You can try to personally visit Olympus service center and they can quote to you the price on the spot. Hope this will help.

May I ask your lens is which version?

The fee charged is considered normal I think. How long warranty they provide for the repair?

Btw, you can also get a new lens at RM400

I guess so. Eventually I sent mine to Olympus Malaysia service Centre to repair. Costed me like around 150-200. Waited for one week to collect. Until now my lens still working fine. Hopefully no more error. Sigh
