Hi All,

I'm the new joiner to Axia, as I made my booking on 27 September and just get my Midnight Blue Spec G Manual Axia on 1st November.

The FC is quite satisfied based on my opinion, as the total distance travel from Muar back to my hometown is 300km and drive at average 100 to 120km/h once entered PLUS. The odo showed 16.1km/l and I estimate it cost RM35 on petrol for this trip as pumped RM70 (Full tank) petrol before start travelling and the petrol indicator just dropped to half tank (4 bar) when is few KM away to reach my home.

Overall is quite satisfied with the performance of this car. Below are some of the drawback solely based on my opinion :
1. The power is acceptable but the RPM is a bit high on first gear as it can reach 5k rpm when speed reach 25km/h based on 3 second acceleration. Which means I need to shift gear very quickly after the car start moving from stop.
2. The dashboard is a bit high from driver view.
3. The front light is too separate away which made the center point of the view a bit dim. The projection of the upper light is too high which made the light focus on the tree across the road instead of the road.

Finally, a review from a manual owner. biggrin.gif

1st gear's RPM is that high? If you accelerate slowly (say half the throttle) RPM is still 5,000 @ 25km/h?

For the headlights, you can adjust it accordingly. Pop up the hood, on the headlight assembly, there should be an adjuster gear-like screw. Or, ask P2 SC to do it for you.
*
Yea, even accelerate slowly also the RPM will reach 5k by the speed of 25km/h, just that it takes more time to reach that speed. But even press a little bit of the throttle also it will able to accelerate to 20km/h with around 3.8k RPM in 3 second.

Hmn, oh really? That's good then. Will ask them to help to adjust on the visit. Thanks!

Do you know whether the buzzer alarm and the autolock when brake is out in the market? As it's soket can't fit the Alza/Myvi soket.

To all existing Axis owners, how's the performance when climbing mountain? If I want to take a weekend trip to genting from kl, would it be possible?
*
Mine Axia G Manual, can climb till top of genting easily by polite way Means not pushing the engine out from the it's comfort zone by maintaining at gear 3 with around 3k RPM. (Using Ron97)

Anyone changed Axia music player? I wish to change it's original player but don't wish to cut the wire to do so. Just wish to know whether is the player soket is the same as other perodua or is different soket? If different does it available in the market? Tqtq

Standard. Just go and shop for any 2-DIN player that your heart (& wallet) desire. Unless yours is AV spec, then MAYBE need to add steering wheel control module adapter/converter.
*
Means the soket is standard soket same with Myvi and Alza?

I don't really get your socket reference. But as long as the multimedia unit size is standard 2-DIN, can fit.
*
Soket means the wire connector. Because I don't wish for a wire cut if changing the player. Sobs

Something like this? which will centerlized all the player wire connection.

Very positive then!

May I ask if you drove up alone or with passengers?
*
I drove up alone only. Just went genting again last night until tophill. Sometimes required to shift to 2nd gear to go up some slope, might required to drag until 4-5k RPM for this. Overall is ok, not that underpower. ^^

Ooo... This one, you have to see it for yourself whether can connect or not with existing wire. Reputable accessories shop can advise you on this.
*
I see. This is why I wish to know anyone changed the player before? Because if know the socket then can direct install it because i have the player myself. If the socket is different from others then after they unplug already need to reinstall then will be troublesome.

A few things that I want to do for my axia when it arrives:

Get screen and windows tinted (free from SA)
Install Wind Visor and arm rest (costs probably below RM120)
Upgrade the speakers (RM150~200 budget)

Anything else that is essential for upgrade? biggrin.gif

Also may I ask, can the usb/bluetooth play songs directly from phone? What about apps like Spotify? does it work?
*
I installed the malaysia made wind visor for RM65 and the arm rest for Axia with cup holder for RM60. Yours is AV version? if yes then it can play directly, means any sound output from your phone will be playing by the speaker.

Hi, where you installed the wind visor and arm rest?
*
I installed both of it at my hometown, Rawang, shop name MyAudio (Near by Balai Polis) . The pricing there personally think that is quite reasonable.

QUOTE(mkmobile @ Jan 2 2015, 03:50 PM)
Which brand & types of petrol you all using ?

I am using Shell 97 previously, last week I go try Caltex 97 (yes ppl say good petrol to clean the engine), I can feel the car engine rattling when going up hill slope in 1st and 2nd gear. And the smoke coming out when using Caltex is kinda smelly (engine cleaning in process ??) compared to Shell.

After that I jump back the Shell 97, seriously there is no rattling noise, on the same road, same condition.

Just now I read in other Axia forum, say that the RPM is higher when using Caltex.

Anyone using Caltex as well ?
*
I had tried almost all the brand RON97 since I got my car. Here are my summary based on my opinion :
Petronas - average power, same feeling like using RON95 BHP. Mileage covered is average.
Petron - below power, can say the worst among all, but it gives a very good mileage covered.
Shell - Powerful, in pick-up and late power, can feel the car really dashing. thumbup.gif but the mileage is the worst among all. rclxub.gif
BHP - Powerful in pick-up in low RPM, but late power feel like accelerate slowly. Mileage covered very good. Personally constantly using BHP now although prefer Caltax actually, but very hard to find it's station.
Caltex - Average pick-up, but the power come like 1-2s later. Very quick can achieve 100km/h. Mileage covered is the best among all. Agree about the rattling noise and also the smell. The smell really bad when first start the engine in the morning compared to others.

Shell V-Power Racing - Super powerful! The car dash like it lose it's weight. rclxms.gif can feel the different when go up genting hill. Using V-Power Racing can go up easily with 3rd gear (Manual) holding 3k RPM, very less need to change to lower gear. Not like BHP i still need to change to 2nd gear and push to 4-5k RPM for certain slope.

Hope my comment helps. laugh.gif
