to put into perspective, ff13 plays very differently than other previous titles in the series. What was open world has become linear so u can't explore much except when u almost finish the game, and there is still not many features like card games or chocobo riding and even the GM's weren't that much? let alone blitzball lel.

I played as it is so I don't really know how to comment much about the combat system. Regardless, all these missing things was lost in ff13 and that's why hardcore fans don't like it as it ran away from usual FF? Having said these, I find the game good enough for me and I like it enough not to put a negative or thumbs down for it, and I am sure am buying it! If you haven't really played FF, u might like it enough.
