Forget about the like of Greatwall M4, Ford Ecosport, Peugeot 2008, they are small and can be a bit more claustrophobic,

if ASX is not your cup of tea, here is what one should wait for, at least it won't be small

Still take my chances at M4 - dirt cheap ride as company car. Very low tech so easier on maintenance.

It won't be cheap either. expect to be priced around top of the range C-Segmenter, low mid SUV pricing.

But the gooding spec I think will be:
1. Double Sliding Panoramic Roor
2. ESP and 7 Airbag
3. Auto Cruise
4. Auto Rain and Auto light.
5. Saw from Website the Fuel Economy is 17.2km/l or 5.8L/100km. Definitely fuel saving compared to other SUV and cheap future running cost of roadtax and insurance.
6. Very light weight only 100kg more than swift sport.

Definitely worth to consider for a family that only want to have 1 car that are big in space and with fuel economy than can even beat b-segment cars.

Remember in the future with high cost of living and high fuel prices, can consider get his car, for wifey go to work and fetch kids. while husband only ride bike to work while still maintaining image of having and branded SUV (not to be looked driving a Perodua)

Uh... who cares?

The car is quite ugly in my opinion. Why are you answering with an unrelated answer?

Clearly, Suzuki needs better designers

According to Paultan , it'll be fully-imported (CBU) from Hungary, and the price is estimated to be between RM120k and RM140k.

They should maintain the size and price of this s-cross similar to sx4. Thought of buying sx4 before but due to its age decided to wait for the new model. Now they decided to make it bigger and more expensive also, damn...

1.6 suv for RM120k to 140k?

meh its such a rip off, with that price offered and top up can rather get at least a 2.0 suv.

130k CBU (from Hungary), fully equipped with 7 airbags, ESP , full details read Paultan

With this S cross in, SX4 is officially out (no longer sold in Msia), smart move Suzuki, fight with bigger peers, not the midgets B segment SUVs, but head on with C segment SUVs

HOWEVER, What does that make the Grand Vitara then? rclxub.gif

It's called Suzuki S-Cross. The SX-4 naming is dropped in the MY version, although it does replace the outgoing SX-4.

For the price offered, it should be at least 2.0 or 1.6 turbo. 1.6 NA makes it sooo overpriced.

S-Cross is different segment from new Vitara which will be more upmarket. Previously, the Vitara too small to compete with the CRV. I'm thinking the new one is designed to fight the CRV and friends. The S-Cross will fight the small crossover market.

Erm Actually...

http://www.caradvice.com.au/314379/suzuki-...ement-unlikely/

QUOTE
The new Vitara model is considerably smaller than the existing Grand Vitara. The latter model measures 4.50 metres long, 1.81m wide and 1.68m tall, while the Vitara measures 4.17m long, 1.75m wide and 1.61m tall. The smaller model also rides on a shorter 2.50m wheelbase, compared with the Grand Vitara’s 2.64m wheelbase. Its size puts it closer to the likes of the Skoda Yeti, Peugeot 2008 and soon-to-arrive Renault Captur than, say, the Nissan Qashqai or Holden Trax.

i think when new Vitara is in , Grand Vitara is out, and S cross becomes C segment while Vitara becomes B segment, (they swapped places) , judging from these two bits of news

True, the specs for the S-Cross is impressive (especially safety wise) but most folks will still buy the Honda for its brand and looks. rclxub.gif

Parts are easily available.

Oil filter- <$10
Engine oil - similar to any Proton also can use
Gearbox oil - not sure
aircon compressor- <$200
brake pad-~ $60
engine mounting ~$300

I would say, if you service them outside...buy your own parts, it is a cheap car to maintain.

However, you might need to resolve all the necessary stuff like
engine mounting, brake pads, brake oil, engine oil/filter, air filter, tires, ...etc.

the first year, might need to iron out all this when you get used cars.
