I see... Thank you for such informative reply smile.gif
Seems like your watches' battery literally last for a century haha
Anyway, is it advisable to change at normal watch shops like City Chain or so? Since its just a normal G-Shock.
*
I usually change them myself. Watch shops charges too much for a simple battery change. However, if you don't mind paying, I don't see why can't you change at the shop.

Hi bro,

Your Frogman GW-200 Series, except GW-201N Carbon Fiber or Snake Killer is using ML2016 rechargeable battery. For GW-201 Series is using normal CR2016 batteries.

Regrds,

Carbon Fiber or Snake Killer are the only GW-200 series that's not Tough Solar but it uses a rechargeable battery? The other GW-200 are Tough Solar but they use normal CR batteries? You sure?

I've never opened up any of my Tough Solar GW-200 series Frogman because they don't need opening up. Maybe I will just to see what battery they replaced. tongue.gif

Yup. GW-201 series is battery powered. Casio using module from DW-8200 and put it on GW-2XX casing.

Remember, not all GW-2XX models are Tough Solar. Try key in GW-201 at Google search, you will be surprised...

cheers,

Yeah I know. That's what I meant actually. I read your earlier post wrongly... rclxub.gif sweat.gif Please disregard my previous reply to you. Don't know what I'm doing. Maybe too tired. Haha

older ana digi can light up the LCD, and theres only one that is still in production...the G-300.

*
Not really. From the top of my head, the Gulfmaster and Mudmaster lights up the LCD as well. However, these two are neither old nor entry level.

cos those ones fall under diff category - master of G tongue.gif
normal ana-digi as per casio definition only these.
http://www.casio-intl.com/asia-mea/en/wat/...ck/st_ana-digi/

btw, the mudmaster is also abit bad at the lighting...cos the 6 marker blocks quite abit of the light.
thats what really irritated me when i was looking at it thinking to buy or not...in the end was a not.
*
Haha. Yeah. That's why I said "neither old nor entry level".

I don't have a Mudmaster. Wanted to buy one but I'm saving for something else. smile.gif

also the mudmasters i saw, all are bad at second hand hitting the markers.
i know the hands can be reset, but reading on wus... not many had any luck getting it aligned.
i think i may instead target the new quad sensor gulfmaster gwn-q1000... but i think the price is going to be almost rm4k...so zzz.
*
I like the features on the new Gulfmaster (ABCD sensors!) but somehow, the watch's dial design doesn't appeal to me. I doubt it'll be RM4k or so. My guess is that it should be around RM2k.

confirm nowhere near rm2k.
usd retail is expected to be usd899 or so.
*
That expensive? Hmm...If that's the case I don't think it's worth it. USD900 can buy a lot of other watches. Even the new Frogman is around that price and the Frogman is supposed to be the "flagship" for Master of Gs.

World Coral-reef Conservation Society Edition

got it really under market price, hope police will not find me  biggrin.gif

Nice. I have the Seaman version that is a sample unit of Casio (engraved with a big "S" at the back, very rare as they don't sell these sample units.). Still one of my prized possessions.

I prefer the negative display solely for aesthetic reason LOL have the basic black king and really like the negative display thumbup.gif
*
Negative display on the Rangeman is REALLY hard to read. I have plenty of negative display G-Shocks and the Rangeman's readability is the worst.

BTW, I'm talking about the ones that are negative display originally, not the converted ones. Maybe the converted ones are better but I've not tried them.

usj summit.
g-factory are re-stocking this month.

dont see why u bought the black king from citychain...cant be that desperate? they not known for giving nice discounts.
anyway im still saying it is not collectible at all...time may prove me wrong...but for this i doubt it.
*
Citychain used to gives plenty of discounts. They use to have this Merdeka sale in August - September with discounts up to 30% from retail. However, this was at least 5-7 years ago. With the 30% discounts from retail that they gave, it's usually about 10% cheaper than street prices.

With regards to the Black King, the demand will always be there but Casio will keep producing them. My guess is like yours, i.e. prices will maintain around retail or even lower. If not in a hurry, wait for it.

The prices are high in the beginning is because a lot thought that this will be a high demand piece. They are not wrong but they didn't take into account that it won't be a limited edition.

Actually, what I'm saying here has already been said by Everydying multiple times. biggrin.gif

I've never seen the Rangeman with negative display in real life cos they are not being sold here officially cry.gif converted ones are so so due to the lack of separator lines on the display...
*
Plenty are negative display actually. Maybe you've never noticed.

Anyway, I'd compare the negative display Rangeman to the negative display Kings. Both are equally hard to read.

QUOTE(radi0head @ Oct 9 2016, 10:51 AM)
Rangeman olive green is still bumpable around in KV... but for me, I would say that for G-Shock, GD-350 have the best negative display... the 'brightest' one and good viewing angle...

Others all... no good... Timex got a better negative display than G-Shock...  doh.gif
*
Yes. The GD-350 has the best negative display in my opinion. Easy to read compared to the rest.

New G-LIDE screens look nice but 6900 design is just not my thing, to each their own.

Anyone knows the market price for a JDM CF positive or negative rangeman? Or even the dessert camo ver? Just want to compare if its worth getting in japan or just better of locally.

Offered 1.6k for a sunrise purple ranger but imo its pink so nope.

Anyone selling their used/ULN, 5600, 5630, 5030, 5000 please pm me with pics currently building my collection.
*
Any specific models you're looking for? I have a few and if the price is right, I might consider letting them go.

Hi! Any one bought from 'project hullabaloo' before?
They don't do COD anymore?
Bank in first later they ship over the watch.
Seems popular seller. Can trust?
Thank you.
*
I've been dealing with them for the past 5 years. One of my most trusted sellers.
