that's wat im doing right now. left in by a window for 15mins n d level went up to H. played with watch a bit n level dropped back to M. gave it another 10mins of window time n went back to H.

but im worried if exposure to sunlight thru a window will effect the watch or not. after 15mins the watch felt warm. used the thermometer function n temp was 38c

like i said, it takes alot of hours to charge fully to H.
just cos it says H doesnt mean its full yet, yours is still borderline.
go read the manual properly...everything is clearly stated there on how best to charge including why u see batt level dropping.

38c is actually nothing.
the thermometer can go all the way up to 60c.
means can leave it anywhere except places like hot sidewalk under direct sun.

yea got one there. but i only been in there once last year...to buy battery for my hifi set remote control LOL. totally no interest in G shock that time. i din even glance at the display.

my dad has been a bit crazy over watches lately. he goes to his friend's shops in Pertama often. when i showed him the GD350 pic, he said G Shocks r for teenagers n asked me to get an Omega or Tag Heuer instead LOL. but i explained it was for casual rough use n he offered to go check out the prices for me.

my 9300 is my 1st solar watch. i got some questions.

It was manufactured in late 2014 and it was placed on displayed in the watch shop for a few months until purchased on wednesday.

when i got it on Wednesday night, the batt indicator was at H. played around with it for an hour or so (alarms, time adjust, lights n etc).

Then the indicator dropped to M. a few minutes later batt level back to H. all this happening at night with the only light source fr a fluorescent tube in my room.

It remained at H until yesterday evening where it dropped to M again. it was exposed to direct sunlight n went back to H. a few minutes later it was back to M again. remained at M since then.

Why is the batt level going up n down so quickly ?

lol tag heuer and omega, those are different class and more importantly, swiss made watch bro cool2.gif
for your solar charging, i owned another gr8900 which is tough solar based model too, the 1st time i bought my 8900, the battery state is M, after a few days still remain M, then i made my mind to test charging for the 1st time, under hot sunlight around 2pm until 3pm, it was H by then, after a week used it dropped back to M, lol... if according back to the guide book, from M need to be charge for 9 hours under sunlight (50,000 lux) shakehead.gif

i think i really need to charge my watch longer. 3 hrs of sunlight thru a lightly tinted window n H only lasted 5 hrs or so. its back to M now.

what so gooding bout the frogman? the design cant attract me enough just yet

A few things:
- The asymmetrical design
- Titanium
- VERY WELL constructed
- Screw back case
- Weight
- Much tougher than most, if not all, G-Shocks (for eg. the strap buckle cannot be opened by using a sharp opening tool like the other G-Shocks. It has to be pried opened. That's how tough Casio made it.)
- The only ISO 6425-compliant G-Shock (although I don't dive)
- The best of all is that there aren't too many Frogmans around and their releases are not as often as the other models. This means I don't have to spend too much for it.

Try holding a Rangeman (IMO, one of toughest G-Shocks) on one hand and a Frogman on the other. You'll feel the difference in weight and construction. It's a personal preference but I much prefer a heavy watch than a light one. It feels better.
