Hi, fellas.  I have always wanted a G-shock (for 20 years?) but never got round to it.  2 weeks ago, after passing through a G-shock retailer in Singapore, I decided to look into it when back on Malaysian shores. Owing to the hundreds if not thousands of G-shocks available, my head is spinning rclxub.gif  and I decided to do some research on the internet.  Wow, I didn't know that Gs have got such a huge international as well as Malaysian following.  My criteria for buying a G-Shock is (a) it tells the time and (b) it is a fashion accesory.  I decided that my G-Shocks have to be black resin and no colorful stuff, thank you.  Since I am not a watch collector but a watch wearer, I probably won't buy more than 5 units.  So i have to choose carefully.  7 days ago I bought my first G, a G-9300 Mudman.  I loved it so much that 4 days ago I bought my 2nd G, a G-6900.  Now I feel like I cannot stop myself.  God help me! sweat.gif  My next 3 on wishlist is the Gulfman, GDX 6900 Panda white/black, and GX 56 red/black.  But I don't now which to get first.  All pictures of the abovesaid are attached below. In the near future, a Rangeman and a Frogman would be nice.

yea dont go down the collection road, u will regret... nod.gif

anyway, at one point or another i've had all those listed except for the gulfman.
another option instead of the gulfman is the 7900...or perhaps any of the g-lide series.
i still have the 9300...which i hardly wear now since my rangeman has taken over.
now im just waiting for the mudmaster to reach here...but its one im sure i wont appreiate the functions as much as im already familiar with it due to owning the protrek prw6000 before which works exactly the same.
just that the mudmaster looks so nice tongue.gif

can you elaborate more why a collector will regret? vs just a watch wearer?

to me, its senseless collecting various models that will just sit there unworn etc...just for collections sake.
then when u look at the whole thing, some voice in ur head says... u can buy a patek or rolex or omega already with all that...of cos that's just my view... some who want to shiok sendiri for short term ok la.
cos as ppl know gshocks don't last forever anyway, the resin will eventually crack, breakdown etc.

Just think about this.  If a zombie apocalypse breaks out tomorrow.  And you have to pack your 1 backpack and only able to wear 1 watch with you.  You wold be thinking to yourself "hmmm...... I am going into surivivor mode so I need a tough watch........ but I also have to look good while I kick some zombie ass (or I also have to look good when I am being eaten by a zombie), which G-Shock would you wear with you?? only one, my dear friends........

Hello to all sifu-sifu,

I'm owning G-Shock Model GR-8900 (feature with tough solar) and wear it almost 3 and a half years (2012).
Really eager to buy the real G-Shock since I'm a little kid and manage to get 1 of them (after I got a job of course) . smile.gif

Just want to ask, how long the battery life for model with tough solar feature can hold (the seller mention me I don't have to worry since the battery on the watch will recharge itself as long it expose to the sunlight).

Anyway, looking for the shop that sell the batteries for this model.

P/s: Sorry about my watch condition. She been trough so many obstacle from sea, snow and dirt, due I'm often to travel around. Yet, she's really tough indeed sweat.gif

I think he's asking for the self illumination tritium tubes that luminox uses.

No battery or Photoluminescence paint.

I dont know if g-shock has any models which uses tritium illumination.
