Hmmm, interesting problem u have there, daijoubu... I'm lucky my G2 does not face this static problem, unless when the car is parked in a basement or when traveling outstation (the regular Klang Valley frequency will obviously produce static when travelling further away)...
Termignoni, i think the newer stations are using the more advanced broadcast equipment as compared with the older ones... Maybe that explains why these stations can get better reception...

One funny case is with my mum's Honda Wald... The radio, which is a stock unit, receives signals clearly when in the PJ area but the weird thing is that after passing MidValey towards KL, the frequency becomes choppy... Dunno y this type of thing can happen...
And yups, the G2's Blaupunkt HU has good radio reception but too bad it has no MP3 player... I changed my HU because of this and even though my current unit is some OEM brand, the reception is still as good as ever!

Maybe our threadstarter daijoubu can give the Bosch antenna a try? Who knows, hopefully it can "cure" his radio of the choppiness...

Well, even after i changed my Gen2's built-in Blaupunkt radio to an OEM unit, both are still getting excellent reception... I think the antenna plays a major part as my radio (at the time still the built-in unit) got blurry signals when some joker actually STOLE my antenna!

Could be due to the placement of the antenna? Somehow the 100% reception was when the antenna's angle was perfectly placed within excellent radio range...
