Game has its cliche issues but I'll say the best thing this game has to offer is sound design and pure audiogasm.
Game uses binaural recording for the sound effects and voices, so don't do yourself a huge disservice by not playing it with headphones.
Best way to enjoy this game's exceptional sound design (which btw actually ties into gameplay) is to get an external DAC that accepts optical in, connect it to the PS4 and let it pass through all audio to the external device. Amp that signal to your headphones.
I can count with 2 hands how many games that truly uses binaural recording. Damn glad Ninja Theory saw this wide open market and went with it even if the masses don't know what they are missing by playing with TV speakers.

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Aug 9 2017, 04:13 PM) how come saw this in psn store labelled as PSN game Uhm... because it IS a digital-only game. Was never planned for a physical release. Ninja Theory is after all just an indie.

They call it a "AAA" indie.
AAA means nothing actually, a game is a game.

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Aug 9 2017, 09:39 PM) how long is the total game time? saw 29.99 on US. Finished it in 5 hours 28 minutes. If it wasn't for 2 puzzles that I got stuck at, would probably be closer to 5 hours only. So... really depends if you'll be stuck on the puzzles or not. The fight sequences in this game is pretty scarce too btw. Most of the game is walking from point A to point B, listening to the story, deal with a puzzle, fight some peons, fight a boss, repeat. I'm simply giving this game a pass because of its excellent sound design, probably best this year if Uncharted Lost Legacy doesn't beat it.

QUOTE(MeToo @ Aug 11 2017, 10:53 AM) is this game any good? I'm not too keen on female protagonist... just cant identify with them... lacking immersion.. I found it decent. Some parts of the story didn't jive well with me. Some parts of it is unsettling, which is the whole goal of the game and they succeed in doing that. The thing that made me most annoyed is the puzzles, not because they are hard or confusing... no not at all, but because the puzzles requires inch-perfect positioning that the game doesn't even hint to you about. Just because I'm 2 steps away from an initiation piece, the puzzle doesn't solve itself and says I fail. Just because the camera is not aligned inch-perfect, then the puzzle isn't solved? Just because I have all the pieces but I don't have them in the correct order, the puzzle fails... wtf? Really can cause a headache with all the voices blabbering shit about how "stupid" you are when in fact the game is the one being stupid in the first place. I don't think it's a game for everyone to be honest. Go into it with an open mind. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Aug 11 2017, 06:21 PM

QUOTE(rx330 @ Aug 14 2017, 10:38 AM) i always love SSJBen's review Thanks a lot, ur honesty mou tak teng Thanks bro. I know that many thinks I complain way too much. QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Aug 14 2017, 12:08 PM) in that case wait it comes for R3 or wait US discount I think the game at $20 would be a perfect price. QUOTE(wallance13 @ Aug 14 2017, 07:20 PM) To me it's really annoying. I can't fight them back to keep them quiet... I rather have a smart jarvis... The concept is to ingrain schizophrenia, so the players knows what it feels like to be mentally unstable. Annoying indeed, but that's the point.

QUOTE(dark_heart07 @ Aug 15 2017, 01:25 AM) tempted to get ps4 version but too expensive compared to steam which only RM56 PC version is better though... solid 60fps makes the limited FOV a lot more bearable. The PS4 Pro enhancement here is a little wonky if you ask me.
