Yeah. I base on your price list for bargain but I changed at BS pro shop@Pasir Gudang, Johor. Unable to get the trade in price for RM200 even, only accept at 160, but free metal valve, free balancing and free alignment.

Agreed with you, can't really feel significant different between this 2 tyre when both are still new. but my feeling is for GR100 the noise is better than NCT5 in low speed, high speed both seems not much different at his moment.

Lets try this set out 1st and share the experience. one of the main reason I choose GR100 is because you had do so much survey already and you choose this tyre, 2nd of course is the price, primacy 3ST was rm100 higher/donut, last is the foreman also said not much different in term of noise reduce between GR100 and 3ST and 3ST life span should be 10k shorter.

Thank you bro

Yeah, but it's also quieter when in high speed.
3ST shud be better in grips than GR100. My trade in is higher than urs and has travelled more than 2.2k km, jus the new tyres are more exp..
Main reason i pick gr100 is cos of the price, is much cheaper 3ST and its previous gen, GR90. So this set is as trial...

its same marketing strategy used by michelin when PP2 to PS3

GR100 no longer their premium comfort series tire
*
So what replace it as premium type?

actually we need to pay attention to  weather and road condition when choosing right tyre..choose the tyre wisely to avoid accident happen..

quite agree that somehow when choosing tyre need to consider weather, but this is more applicable to countries with 4 seasons, which make this choosing condition don't really apply to country M'sia..

and, if wan to avoid accident, then "performance" tyres are your best choice. Please don't consider those "fuel save", "comfort" or "long lasting" tyres.

Bro, I will be getting my brand new car soon which the stock tyre is 205/55/16 NCT5. Do u think if I trade in my tyre the day  I collect the car, can I get >rm200 for each donut from the shop that u change your tyre?
And also, do u have any idea what is the selling price now for this NCT5 so that I can use it as a guideline for trade in.
Many many thanks in advace.

If I recall correctly, my trade in should be 700/750 for 4 nuts. The trade in price is highest compared to other shops and sum dun even accept trade in..
but the new tyres selling price is about RM20-30 higher than others (those selling cheaper normally no trade in).. is hard for them to accept used nuts at high price but sell it at low price.. even is new nuts, but we cnt guarantee if it exactly in good condition. the condition could be diff ady, and do rmmbr to check the tyre manufacture date.. RM200 is possible but very hard, cos if not mistaken, the NCT5 is selling around RM260, they cant sell our used nuts as new tyres unless they're cheating their customers.
