BFG is Germany's 8th most capped player and he could still easily perform next Euros at age 32 but he effective choose Arsenal over Germany. Massive statement from Per Mertesacker's retirement for the club, and it will only sit well with everyone connected to Arsenal.

2. Arsenal will be playing against plenty of defensive setup teams with a whole week to prepare for one match, like this encounter. Good match as reminder to shake off any passing rust quickly. 3. New signings doing a good job so far. |
