Actually I feel we need a CB more than we need a CDM with Vermy's departure. Seems like Arsene is not convinced with Miquel and Hayden that he would rather play Monreal as a CB...

We are just one injury and one suspension away in our CB dept from precisely that...

Wenger replaced Alex Song with Arteta. Since then, he do not fancy CDM in his team and he prefer team collective defensive effort.
I personally think if he buy, he will buy a defender that can play CDM.

He meant the era of 'specialist' DM is over. The one that sitting deep, protect the back line all the time.
Not that football nowadays don't need a DM. It just, modern DM tends to be a more creative, more technical and keen to join the attack occasionally.
