Japs transformers are nice, where u can see jap style unique transformation sequence scene which typical with old school japanese bg music and ends with a act cool pose. Means US marketing suits global trend better than japs. See there so many combining mecha japs series, but only voltron gets the heat. Same to power rangers.
Japs transformers are exception nevertheless.
