Yep Giga and FansToys.

I'm currently supporting FansToys because.. well I h ave their not-Shockwave and it is very good quality. And Slag supposed to have some issues, but mine so far ok.

I did hear that their not-Shockwave is pretty damn amazing. Sadly no budget d. lol.

This is a really bad hobby IMO.  sweat.gif

Haha amen.

I love Transformers - yet a part of me can't justify why I still collect them.

There is no intrinsic benefit to the hobby apart from appreciating the way these chunks of plastic can be unfolded into differently shaped chunks of plastic.

And unless you design or customize your own figures, they don't make you smarter or more creative either.

So... how much are you selling your MP3 Starscream for? tongue.gif

I like to collect Transformer because I actually appreciate the engineering behind some of the better made ones that made them tick like my MP Starscream. Also, I like to collect them cause I used to love watching G1 until Beast Wars which I like to own some of the characters. Since I stopped watching transformers now, so I just collect whatever I find it looks nice.

I also collect diecast cars which also have no intrinsic value. It is just a hulk of expensive metal that does nothing at all to the point people call me an idiot for spending RM750 for one. Sure it doesnt do anything but it holds a sentimental value to me as I bought it because I was leaving Australia for a while and I want to keep something that defines Australian motorsports. That car I bought was the winner in a 1000km endurance race which is not an easy feat on the world's steepest and one of the more dangerous tracks in the world. If you lost control on the track, most likely you'll be hitting the concrete wall. Apparently, for that overpriced model car, the price will go up as time goes as it has an official and numbered certificate from the manufacturer as the stock in the market running low while it was driven by a very famous driver.

If I am selling, i'll sell for RM400. Barely played transformer so most of the joints are quite tight.

Lol. Eh I justify it because I like it. I know a lot of people who are absolutely only spending money on things they need. Saving for the future etc etc. Yes that is good, but sometimes you need to indulge on things. If you don't sometimes get things for yourself that you really like, what's the point of working hard? haha.

That's my justification and it works on the missus thumbup.gif

Similar scenario :

Sits down at restaurant in 1U near Vhobby.

Me: *orders food* "Uhh I need to go washroom"
Wife : *ignores me and dotes on babies*
Me : *runs to Vhobby.. look look.. OOOH!! Buy stuff* *runs up to carpark* *deposit haul* runs back to restaurant..
Wife : *looks at my suspicious sweating* "So long one?"
Me : Yeah toilet stalls occupied..
Wife : *looks at me.. and continue to dote on babies*

As long as you are spending the money for the necessacities, i think it should be ok.

Yeah, buying transformers is partly why i want to indulge on some things. Scale model cars are too pricey now while most companies QC is going downhill, might as well start transformers.

Hehehe the biggest enemy of the Transformers is not cosmic rust... it's our wives...

I have no idea how to make my wife appreciate TF. She doesn't even want me to display it because she says it's too "childish" and "nerdy" sad.gif

And yeah, Quake Wave is one of the most universally praised figures out there right now. But prices are insane, can only hope for a reissue at this point.
