Hi, my first post sharing in here.
Recently just got my first ever film camera, and started to shoot some. This camera is a bit tricky to use, often find myself not focused, frame skew towards right side, or too shaky for slower shutter.

Nice pics bdrc. I have an Isolette 3. Very tedious to use, but one of the smallest MF cameras.

Have to agree, it's so light and compact, yet a lot of missing components we have in more modern cameras.
Currently interested in Mamiya RB67, that at least able to see what the lens is "seeing".

I think the shop at Bang Bang Geng in Publika have it, can check it out.

Got my 4th roll of film back, the Ilford Delta film seems to have really strong contrast.

Thanks for recommendation. The E6 processing is indeed much pricier, have to take each shots more carefully.

Thank you for sharing...  icon_rolleyes.gif

There's some wavy lines across image do you know what it is...? effect of IR Filter?

I am not too sure, some of the other shots have similar pattern and it looks uniform across them.

Nice pics. Never tried IR on medium format. My understanding of IR film (Kodak HIE), its very sensitive. Loading/unloading film also has to be in total darkness. With the Isolette, you need to check frame counter using the red window right? No problem with fogging? Meter also useless for IR film  vmad.gif . Agak agak tembak.  biggrin.gif  cry.gif
*
Though I heard that SFX film I used is not real IR film, but more sensitive towards red. Without the use of red filters it will behave normally. I metered normally then add in extra few stops of exposure against the filters I used. I have some shots where I shoot under bright sunny day and against the light, the flare is so strong it cast a ghostly haze across or half of the scene.

looks like chemical liquid residue.

I see. Due to development process then?

There seems to be some flare or light leak, any method can check the bellows for this matter?

Thank you.

I think it is, the affected areas are quite uniformed, happens when I am shooting under sunny day. Shooting into the bright light source however doesnt cause this as much or low contrast flare though, suspecting the top of bellow or lens body have leakage.

Perhaps the next time you're loading film, just shine a bright torch into your camera through the lens side opening in a dark room? I don't know if it'll work, just an idea.  sweat.gif

Hmm, will try once I finished the current roll. Thanks.

QUOTE(Punanister @ May 28 2017, 12:42 PM)
Hi guys, I just like to check with if it's ok to open the camera in a completely dark room, so i can rewind it back into the film roll. or is it ok to just unload the film in a very dark room and then put it inside plastic container and then completely cover it to avoid exposure? The reason I wanna do this is because I got the LOMO Konstruktor and the film advance is jammed. and I have only used 4 frames from the 36 and I wanna check on the film advance mechanism. Thanks!

I asked the film shop owner to help me unwind the roll in his darkbox. I am able to shoot the roll from beginning again.

I think the question is where can you CANNOT find film these days. Most of the reputable shops in KL have them now (again).

Color-dot-com @ Uptown Damansara
Shashinki (technically not KL but Johor)
J-One @ Amcorp Mall (saw it last time but dont seem to have now)

Slide film boss, color positive slides and I looking for medium format's (120). I dont see it being sold anywhere. And the only one I had gotten is a while ago is expired roll, a Provia.

If there is any place selling more Provia or Velvia or CR2000 it'd be nice.

Yah, a narrower query held the results, thanks.

Found Provia 100F on ColorDotCom and Velvia on Shashinki separately.

Checked out colordotcom recently..... omg, their Fuji 400H film from RM26/roll now become like RM54... Kodak Portra RM59.  cry.gif  checked on Amazon, also around RM50+ a roll if include shipping. This craft is doomed! How can anyone afford it!? Are there any other cheaper sources to get decent quality film? Or would I just have to accept that it's a dying art / rich person's hobby?

Any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

BangBangGeng in Publika seems to have better rates in this.
That said, 120 film options is still a rare thing locally. And rarer slide film is limited to one or two to choose from.
