Hi all, i am thinking to get a canonet QL17 GIII. However, it is listed as very hazy for the finder. I am just wondering is it an easy fix for this if i send to camera store? and so, any idea how much approximately for the cleaning fee?

If you can test/fondle the camera, it helps. Sometimes a bit of haze still ok if rangefinder patch is clear (meaning can still focus easily). If buy online, perhaps better skip. No idea about repair cost.

What do you want to shoot 35mm, Medium Format, or Large format?
SLR, Rangefinder or Point and Shoot?
Fully manual functions or automatic (auto-focus)?

Film camera's can be had fairly cheaply.

Just avoid rare/limited edition camera & lenses people are paying for collectors value  sweat.gif

=========================

Started out with a Pentax Spotmatic SP.
Now using a Cosina Voigtlander Bessaflex.
Lenses are M42 mount Super Takumars.

M42 lenses are cheap. Optically excellent and mechanically sound, they're made to last.

Fully manual camera like the Spotmatics are reliable no electronics that can breakdown. Found places like Shashinki can still CLA and service Spotmatics.

Camera only need batteries for metering which last 2-3 years thumbsup.gif

This site comes highly recommended https://camerafilmphoto.com/ althogu I've personally not purchased film from overseas.

Reason is X-Ray's

Parcels from overseas would go through powerful X-Ray, so chances is there for film to get damaged.
Know for a fact UPS, Fedex, DHL etc will X-Ray parcels, I'm working for express company.

From Kodak website
http://motion.kodak.com/fr/fr/motion/suppo...ity/default.htm

AIR FREIGHT SERVICES
We understand that express air package shipping services such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. that use their own aircraft, do not employ x-ray scanning of customers' packages on domestic routes. However, this should be verified with the carrier when sending film. The same carriers may employ passenger airlines for international routes. Goods shipped as freight on passenger airlines are subject to high-intensity x-ray scanning. It is recommended that film shipped as unaccompanied freight is labeled "DO NOT X-RAY. IF X-RAY IS MANDATORY, DO NOT SHIP / DO NOT X-RAY / CONTACT SENDER URGENTLY: (sender's contact information)".

What type of film are you trying to get maybe can search for it locally?

Hope that helps!

Thanks for pointing it out. Did not think about the X-Ray part. Just want to get some Kodak Portra in bulk since it seems to be quite limited now here and I quite expensive compare to overseas.. Might have to bear with the price until I bring back myself sometime later then.

Looking for an affordable 35mm or wider lens in LTM mount for Canon 7. Anyone has any recommendation as I couldn't find much option on the web?

Made a short clip of my first 10 roll of films from June 2016 - June 2017. I chose 5 of the images of like from each roll and put them together.

All were taken using Canon 7 and 50 1.8

My first 10 rolls of film

Anyone knows what happened to these photos? All of the shots taken outdoor have this weird line effects, and only the one taken indoor seems to be alright.

Sorry for the late reply. But this is what i meant. I do not see the same problem with other shots. Dont know if due to poor exposure so there is a lot of compensation or not.
Shot with Rolleicord III
