zomg why do i see so many whiners? O.o especially with winternight who whined about CELgames, and now WCG. neverending whining why don't YOU go and make a tournament of your own? its a new arena, there are hiccups sure to bound in every corner, i still do not understand why some people still need to be spoon fed. and the fact that you yourselves add a disclamer stating that "no i am not his friend" etc, etc etc doesnt mean you are on the same camp. again grow up people, or else if all gamers where a bunch of whiners, there wouldn't be any party interested in actually HOLDING a tournament because they would be bombarded by brickbats. win lose situation? i guess reconstricting your whines into constructive arguments or suggestions would be a lot better for both the PLAYERS and the organizers. edit = this coming from a marshall, gamer and press in three consecutive years This post has been edited by kev da man: Aug 26 2006, 09:53 PM

QUOTE(revivar @ Aug 27 2006, 01:22 AM) MORE WHINESSpoonfed? Okay, so i should be content with having to wait for 6 hours? I will not whine if the marshall would tell me to come back later after 6hours. Instead, he told me that the game will be up at 11AM when it should've start at 10AM (We were informed to arrive at 9, any team failed to reach before time will be DQ). So i waited 1 hour since there's nothing much i can do. After 1 hour, they told me it will be our turn soon. Since i'd already missed my lecture class, i might as well wait there. At 2PM, they told us it will be up at 4PM. What do you think i should do? My team and I played with fatigues afterward i'd been a marshall too, smaller scale, but nevertheless an official event. And the very least i do not mislead the gamers with inaccurate and ineffective instructions. Suggestions: Better briefing next time by the Head Marshall. Please do include a checklist on Do and Don't. The marshalls aren't trained in critical decisions making. when problems surface, they could at the very least listen to some suggestions, instead of dragging time. The overall event ended well. All the games were completed around 8PM. The marshalls did a goodjob on trying to be fair to everyone, but did a poor job on keeping the players informed with what's on and what's not. you must understand that not all marshalls know when which group will end, but nevertheless, you should look for the head game marshall at the island instead. i have a feeling that you asked one of the crews which most of the time are assigned other jobs and will not know the current situation of any game at any given time add= waiting 6 hours was nothing. i waited the whole day for a game that was actually scheduled in the late evening - and the players didn't know that. QUOTE(biatche @ Aug 27 2006, 11:49 PM) I'd like to add some comments on the event. First of all, I'd say In2 is very friendly, however, I don't think they did a great job on the event... although I hate to believe they really are the only qualified ones in Malaysia.. or at least when Eddy was taking care of things.. wah how you know eddy one? QUOTE(ccy1989 @ Aug 28 2006, 04:27 PM) how come this year FMJ team didnt join CS de ? ROTFLMAO
