I was hunting for the digital version of The Eagle's Hell Freezes Over (HFO) then to stumbled upon this territorial UK/Germany locked site.
Technics HiRes Audio store - The Eagles HFO
HFO was recorded in 16bit format as told by Elliot Scheiner, the album sound engineer, and not until after that works on 24bit began so this source should be enough as in 16/44. What got me excited was this site offered a single purchase so I can cherry picked Hotel California out of the bunch.
But, like I said the site is locked to UK/Germany that it even freaking asked the UK shipping address while offering payment thru paypal. No the card number will give out the origin country.
It's just a normal Flac 16/44 right?Technics HiRes Audio store - The Eagles HFO

I have the US-pressed normal CD and Japan-pressed XRCD for this album and to be honest, I couldn't hear the difference when I played it through my Bladelius CDP & amp & Focal 1027Be when I was still playing hi-fi
For their Hotel California album, I do have the Flac 24/192 and the DSD.
I still couldn't hear the difference between these 2 formats when playing through AK100II & ciem Roxanne.
