Android Version shows the major Android version. Current latest MY MIUI (Stable) version for MI3 is 4.3 (Jellybean)

Baseband version is your "Radio" version. It controls settings related to mobile network connection. (item 5 above)

Kernel version is for the kernel (item 3 above)

Build number is your ROM version (item 2 above)

If you are having problems with connection (voice/data), please provide the following minimum information:

1. Telco/ISP
2. Your current location where you are facing this problem
3. How long have you experienced this problem

Anyone try to download full version 23 firmware ? 500+MB, not sure still need to download as I already downloaded the 11.4MB patch yesterday ?

I'm on Dev rom, so I'm not really aware of this really, but some forumer said that the v23 update has been pulled off from OTA yesterday.. might be replaced with bigger 500mb update? soon someone will respond

under the useful information. I think can put this. just imho.

Q: when never i upload a pic in instagram, it will end up a black blank picture.
A: Go to settings in Instagram, camera and turn off "Use high-quality image processing".

Q: whatsapp could not send picture, fb messeger could not send audio.
A: Go to Security app (the green one), go to Permission, Manage App Permission, go to App tab, find the application that is causing u problem, choose Trust this app. Reboot ur phone and try again.

Q: in messaging app, sms from same contact creates 2 message thread.
A: Install Number Fixer and add +6 to all contact numbers. Then when u sms the contact, ur message will appear in both of the separate message thread created earlier. Now it's fixed. But you'll need to sacrifice 1 message thread and delete it. Future sms from same contact will not create a separate new message thread again.

The Xiaomi Global vice president Hugo already mentioned that it will be a OTA release. Also, I checked the miui forum just now, v23 is not available in their download section. The miui mod also don't say anything about it. In short, there's no full version 23 firmware available at this moment.

about CM11, not sure. Coz I dun use it. Can include too I guess.

But I'm looking at stuff like FAQ. Some common app question asked by mi3 users. Waiting for other users to add on what to put in FAQ. Maybe others can contribute too. So far I can only think of these 3 problem.

Anyway, I also got same update page like yours, but it didn't state how many mb. I went ahead to update just now. Found out it's only a small file. Update successfully after 1 min. The only difference is I didn't download the last night version one. But you did. Perhaps that's the reason why yours show different info to this current update?

May be you can download it and see what happened?

My Mikey not responding well last time just need press 2 or 3 times to unlock. Now more than 3 times or more is it normal? Or have better solution for this?

Surely Xiaomi will neglect 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 as both are juz patch for some security issue as mentioned by Google.

Tested the preview version on my nexus 5.

the visuals are stunning, refreshing actually. but still buggy, we'll see if Xiaomi's engineers are adventurous enough since Hugo already mentioned the kernel will be released soon

kernel release = more support from xda, more mods, custom roms.

I love Nexus 5's stock ui look, which is why i installed Google Now Launcher on my mi3.

No worry. The drop call issue already fixed since v22. And yes. I am maxis user and I can verify that.

Updated to V22 and then V23, I noticed the useless Google apps came back. Even though I'm able to uninstall it, but after restart the phone, the apps reinstall back by itself.
Besides, every time I turn on the phone, Mi Cloud keep pops up in notification bar stating my SIM card hasn't' been bound. Please la, I don't use Mi Cloud. It's so annoying!

May be your mi cloud is still on? Check the setting and turn it off.

Shouldn't be. I not even sign in to Mi Cloud.

Then it's kind of spooky. Micloud should not pop up any notification unless it's turned on. I must say this problem is unique.

Sign in again your mi account. Make sure everything is off...somehow, mi doesnt work as efficient as fruit...

I'm usingGoogle Now launcher too on my Mi3, just noticed the notification bubble (from WSM Tools) doesn't work here.

yup, facing the same issue. uninstall those google apps but will appear again once you restart the phone. haih...
same with micloud. dont want to use micloud at all. but keep appearing too.

Anyone have this problem? When receive random notification the screen will hang not responsive at all..the wallpaper oso turn black at that moment..like the pic that I upload... Only way is to long press power button to force restart.. Is that a bug or anything? btw i using v23..

GPS works fine on my Mi3.

delete the update rom u installed then uninstall the apps u want then reboot.

I'm on v23 and got problem displaying Lowyat forum using chrome, some part of it doesn't come out/blank. No problem when using stock browser. Anyone else got this problem?

So ended up using firefox & dolphin more until they get it fixed

Just update to v23 via OTA this afternoon.

Does not feel any changes as it just mention update on mi cloud security.

I do i factory reset delete all apps and data. Once done i found that Backup apps icons went missing and have to go Settings --> Backup & Reset there to restore or do backup.

Some icon is missing as well as i saw the main screen got one icon space is empty. Also got one extra apps call KuaiPan.

Still setting my phone from zero. Later only test see got whats new.

same as me, but I'm using chrome, sumtimes the white parts blinking sumore. experienced same thing on my Nexus 7. So i suspect it's either Chrome's fault of LYN's website fault.

Go to setting & allowed access to my location, the update disabled it.

Any possibility connection no good ? even my Samsung Mega using Chrome to surf Lyn also behave strangely, blinking 2 some part went missing, jumping from 1 page to another. ..hmmm...

Latest is 1.7.1, need to adjust timing after firmware update, V22 I need to tune it faster now V23 I need to tune it slower.

mine oso after updating from ver22 to ver23, the google apps keeps coming back after rebooting and mi cloud is always telling me that i have switched sims -.-

btw, i also noticed my 3g is not working after the update. the h+ symbol is up there but the data is not downloading. anyone facing this issue?im using u mobile.

This is new Chrome issue, I also face it at my M8 and Tablet Z.

Please go to recovery to wide the cache, and then go to advance and wipe the dalvik chace after updating.

I am also using Umobile, 3G no problem.

been like that on v18 for me...stop using chrome already...
also been compare to stock browser n stock one is better...

only issue that im getting is with Rock Smart cover app...
on v18 sometimes need to open twice to wakeup...
on v22 it doesn't wakeup at all when opening...just before update...
on v23 seeing abit lag after opening...will keep monitoring...

Instead of using third party apps to fix this, MIUI team really need to fix this country code bug.

So i suppose the V23 is the stable Kitkat rom i can update to? I still stick with V14 right now, china rom.

Yes. The latest stable rom for China rom is v23. The latest stable rom for Malaysia (Global rom) is also v23. But it can only be updated via OTA.

What I heard Lenovo phones also has this problem.

Not sure about it, but I did heard the most China brand phones have the similar problem.

Maybe because they are not aware of this problem.

You guys should drop a feedback, click the Feedback button on Mi3.

Well. Maybe coz most of the Lenovo and Xiaomi users in Msia used the app to fix the area code issue instead of reporting the problems to Lenovo and Xiaomi.

For us still ok, we can fix it on our own. If to those elderly who is not computer literate, then pity them.

Better most of us make a feedback on this case in miui forum.
