anyone experiencing gps problem? my fren opened gps and in the waze shows no gps opened, anyone experiencing this problem and how to fix this bug?

guys, just received my Mi3 today 

currently i have nothing installed and just a few photos snapped.
but funny thing is in Setting>Storage it shows that 'Pictures/Videos' is 2.25gb

is this some kind of invisible photos?
also is there a way to show the shortcut buttons first when you pull down the dropdown menu?
currently its showing notifications first.

My sisters mi3 screen suddenly have hairline crack and cannot register touches anymore.
she said never dropped.
take out from bag and cannot use already.

do the service center will cover the warranty?
how much to change screen if they dont cover?

Haha no, I am not implying we are cheapskates. I am just giving the impression to others out there that we are using a value for money smartphone  And also to tell them that Samsung is just overrated.

my friends have warned me about some of the issues with the phone, batt, heating up etc

anyone come across such matters and should i be concerned?

Great. My Mi3 has a touchscreen that doesn't work properly anymore. Usually in the morning it doesn't work, won't register some touches, wipes get cut off, etc. Restart fixes it. It has gotten worse though, cause now it happens every now and then. Sometimes it fixes itself, sometimes I need to restart. Really Xiaomi? 1 month?

And warranty is not an option, cause I'm overseas and won't be back to Malaysia in the next year or two.

v23 is the last MIUI 5 version, it seems.

mi3 dont hv it, but can be achieve using proximity sensor (will eat up ur battery)

i also using proximitiy sensor for my Mi3 windowed flip case. Work same like Note3 S-View.
battery friendly also.

I have 2 high requirement games in my phone. Add in songs and videos, I only have about 700 mb left. Sigh....and I play these games quite often so I can't just uninstall them.

16GB really not enough for me so my next phone will definitely need expandable storage. It's too bad that I really like Xiaomi sigh

Too bad Mi3 dont support ExFAT. Such a bad decision.

Pretty impressive! for me I get double of what I was getting on MiUi v6. Quite happy with it n sticking by it. I know the dev said no more updates but i hope he changes his mind or the kernels gets released! I believe mi 3 has a very good potential for running custom roms!

using it on system 2 no true dual boot. I disabled it as it was giving me some weird errors. I made system 2 as the active system from advance settings in CWM. I don't use MiUi anymore. Yes this means I backed up my files and wiped everything before i proceeded. I wanted to experience AOSP with a clean phone. Don't get my wrong here! my system 1 still has MiUi but that MiUi is factory reset. System 2 AOSP rom is active and i've been using it as my daily driver now

Yeahh mann i hope the kernel is released. No hate to MiUi but it still needs time. I think it's more of a love hate thing for me... but with AOSP it is always LOVE. Same goes for Cyanogen mod. You can never go wrong with either ones stable versions.
