I dunno why they are investigating it. It's an internal team problem not the stewards' rolleyes.gif
I think Alonso's engineer wanted a clean track which was why he held him up. Ron will settle it no worries.

Why investigate Ferrari's team orders in the past? Remember all the fuss caused by MSC being "allowed" to win?

This is different. These weren't team orders. It's not like Hamilton was ordered not to set a time.
*
But that too was an internal team problem. tongue.gif

And it can be said that Alonso obstructed Hamilton from setting a time. The lollipop was up several seconds and yet Alonso was stagnant. I know about the giving Alonso time to have a free track debate but I would have thought that the lollipop would be DOWN until the crew asks the lollipop to go up.

Added on August 5, 2007, 1:41 amAnyway my point here is not to crucify Alonso. I am here to mention that whatever injustice there MAY be, be it team vs team or within a team, it has to be investigated and can't be dismissed as INTERNAL affairs.

If there was time to spare, I would accept the "clean-track" reason but with that little time, surely the main thing for the team was to have both drivers setting times. Even with bias mode off, I still humbly believe Alonso was naughty. I could be wrong but we'll see for further development.

I honestly don't see the need of a McLaren thread and a Ferrari thread and an OFFICIAL thread. Wherever we go, same fellas flaming and flamebaiting doh.gif

Sigh, unless developments in the whole spy scandal goes in our favor, you have one hand (whichever it is) on the driver's championship. We ain't giving up on the Constructors yet flex.gif

A 2 stop wouldn't have made much of a difference. They gambled on 3 stops so that he could make his way up the field easier on a lighter car but we just didn't have the pace.

Funny thing was Massa said the super-softs functioned better and the fastest lap by Kimi was on the super-soft. What do you think? hmm.gif

Erm..I think....that Massa and Kimi have a different car? tongue.gif
The tyres have been our weakness this season. We can't seem to extract as much pace from them compared to Ferrari. Next year should be better seeing that this is the first season we're back to using Bridgestones.

Woot, forgive my absent mindedness.

Brundle did say that the drivers do try to keep their tyres in good shape in quali for use during race day. Something to do with the tyres going through a heat cycle, making the compound harder, thus being able to perform better for a longer period of time.

It's the team's fault, not the driver's.
